It gives me... Error, Think tanks.exe has encauntered some problem and needs to close.

System specs?

It is always good to update drivers for your video card, sound card etc. That almost always fixes it.

I seem to have the same problem. I really know nothing about computers. Where/how do you update these cards? ( my ignorance to this is astounding, please forgive me)

First you will need to find out what model video card you have. (right click on the desktop, click properties, go to the display tab, under the two pictures of monitors it should say the model) If it is by Intel, NVIDIA, or ATI you can go to their site, get the driver software, and install them. Also don't forget to do windows updates.
