^^ yea, and becoming such asses, makes me sad :(

I find gore and violence in games adding to the fun myself, but depends on the game. I don't play anything that is as stupid at GTA...

Thursday, December 07, 2006 at 3:25:31 PM

^ im confused? You sayed the younger generation is sad and are %#$$

Thursday, December 07, 2006 at 4:07:13 PM

^ Roflmao, You just made my day XD

**..::I am thoroughly... amused:::..**

Thursday, December 07, 2006 at 5:00:00 PM

^^ Yeah, preety much. If you look at the majority of young people, they're becoming more and more like Soapscrum, with cursing, badmouthing elders, and an obsession for violence. True, most of us here aren't like that, but then again, this isn't the average game. Go to most other forums/games and you'll find plenty of kids like that. It didn't used to be this way... :(

Thursday, December 07, 2006 at 5:14:53 PM

^ Yea, glad I discovered Nintendo way before I got hooked on the Internet :)

Nintendo = Good Etiquettes B)

**..::I am thoroughly... amused:::..**

Thursday, December 07, 2006 at 5:21:09 PM

^ ho yes! You are so right. Takes the ps3 line for example. What did you find? Shooting. And look at when the people do did smash my ps3. The ps3 people FREAKED OUT! I mean they FREAKED OUUUT! And the nintendo people just laughed it off and had fun! XD

Thursday, December 07, 2006 at 5:27:09 PM

^ yea, lucky for that guy no one was carrying a hand gun or something.. 8o

**..::I am thoroughly... amused:::..**

Thursday, December 07, 2006 at 5:33:28 PM

Meh. Gore and violence do certainly not equal the quality of a game other than the poor taste of some. As it is, most of the games I play have neither.

Scrum: wacky, hilarious, chaotic, fun - my favorite

Thursday, December 07, 2006 at 5:49:17 PM

Truth be told, I do curse in real life a good amount, but never to or about anyone.

Thursday, December 07, 2006 at 7:54:30 PM

... I say frak a lot.

Anyways, I agree with blizter. Gore and such can be fun, but not overly used like in GTA. Personally, I like it when I am shooting guys like "bang bang bang" and then I hit a programed spot on the mesh and it just kinda blows up. Adds some more excitement to the game. Must post quick... Mom is coming!

Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

Friday, December 08, 2006 at 6:09:37 AM

Yup, tried the game out last night- it owned! XD

I own tons of MOH's, but its slightly boring as I know they're just going to shoot back at you....

God, and its like 20 shots before you die....

This game, its 3 shots, and its ya never know what the suspect will do....

ESRB are complete liars! ;)

Why would you give ANY kid a gun for X-Mas??? Nothing good can come of this. XD

^^^^If you're 10 how did you even get an M rated game? Do the ppl at the store let you buy it anyway? 8(

PS: I'm a huge fan of gore and such. The gorier the better! XD

"You'll put your eye out kid"

Blastphamy Soap. You must be politically correct! That's how kids are being taught today. Saying bad words will have you shunned in society and any reference for a firearm will cause you to burst into flames.

...okay maybe not.
But here's something else. You're 10. The game is rated M. Tough luck kid, it's not fun to grow up too soon, cause life starts sucking real fast. I'm 18... I pwn you in every single way. Next Soap'll say he's gonn see a rated-R movie... Wow...lets corrupt and create psychopathic murderers at age 12.

Looks err...nothing like Doom, it's most likey rated M for blood, gore, and such. Feathers has a point and I can't agree with him more. I'll leave it at that...

Yep, don't mean to be a partypooper, but at age ten, your brain is still developing, and I don't see how games rated 17+ could be good.

Friday, December 08, 2006 at 11:53:33 AM

@Soap
Well if your going to go all out with gore and such at least do it with a game we all know XD

You may have to wait and buy a xbox360 but I can assure you....

Its worth it :)

You can assure me I'll get profressionally rendered screenshots which don't even look like the game?

Hey, I'm 13. I've played just about every violent and M rated game out there and I don't think of murdering anything or anyone. The games I mostly play are online tactical shooters, which build teamwork skills. I've also watched R rated movies. I still don't think of murdering.

I know someone who is 10 and has played violent games since he got his first game system. He is a nice kid.

You people are sounding much like Jack Thompson.

@Amorbis,

Gamespot has movies, screenshots, and a demo of the game. Show them to your parents, after all, they are most likely the one buying it.

@ Choro

Blood
Intense Violence
Strong Language

Is what its rated for.

Intense Violence
Strong Language

Just states the point even louder. Hmm, kids playing games rated M for violence and language must be a huge improvement for mankind.

Not.

Friday, December 08, 2006 at 4:47:33 PM

When I grew violence was like PacMan eating ghosts! XD Carnival was gore in my books!

Go play paintballs guys.

Friday, December 08, 2006 at 6:18:03 PM

Next step...Mom playing Doom sounds and sound track to fetus in the womb to improve frag skills. Doom players making 9 figures to frag other players from around the world.

We call it...Armageddon Olympics...coming to a city near you in 1 generation.

Kids, you do realize that maniacal motivations and de-sensitized brains are cumulative effects and not instantaneous? It doesn't happen overnight. You are not gonna play Halo tonight and want to kill somebody tomorrow. Keep it up for several years and get back to us. There are other symptoms than desire to kill. It manifests itself in different ways for different people.

Man, I'm gonna go buy myself a bulletproof vest and a shotgun. (Get away from me you homicidal midgets!)

XD

The path to peace is case of cold beer and hail of bullets!

Friday, December 08, 2006 at 11:44:52 PM

Guishin: I agree. I wanted to write something of the like, but whatevered.

Indeed, desensitized is the word here. It manifest itself in cynism, lack of empathy, re. Tens of thousands died in Iraq, no one cares, etc.

Depends also of what you do with your time outside of violent game, but if you're a geek who is spending gazillions hours playing FPS... You're missing something. Go chase girls instead. :)

Saturday, December 09, 2006 at 9:25:11 AM

Ok so since I am started playing these games regularly at age 12, then by age 20 I will be a homicidal killer who is on drugs?

I think not.

And I clock in over 60 hours of these games every month.

Saturday, December 09, 2006 at 10:05:21 AM

^ Life can change in 8 years, you are predicting that your life will stay the same during an 8 year gap. Well, that's 2920 days u'll have to keep u'r mind in check, including teenage years, puberty, and a sudden disregard for what your parents tell you arround age 18-21 XD

Keep it up kid :P

**..::I am thoroughly... amused:::..**

Saturday, December 09, 2006 at 11:31:09 AM

I am already past puberty, and I (mentally) stayed about the same as I was. I am sure there will be changes in those 8 years, however I highly doubt that I am going to go crazy like the rest of the people say I will. :P

I hear the 18-21 thing is natural anyway. XD

Saturday, December 09, 2006 at 11:54:53 AM

^Of course, we can't all be as well-adjusted as you, can we? XD

Word to the wise, seeing how you spend most of your time with games and don't think properly, don't shave the hair off ;)
