Can someone please please PLEASE leave up an un-modded team scrum server?? While playing a crowded indies server today, everyone wanted teams but the only ones available are the Download ones, which not many people had loaded so we had to opt out. Several poeple kept saying we need HomeLAN back or atleast an normal TS server.

It would help alot.

Thanks.

Where did homelan go anyways?
sheesh, I leave for two months and everything goes to hell [grumble]
when we team scrummers voiced our opinions for more levels, we didn't mean 'let's not play the original levels anymore'
props to all the great people that brought us these new maps [minkee, dash, etc.]
but... I long for some good ol' receptor ridge

^ Exactly.

I highly appreciate all the new maps and efforts to everyone that set them up for us… but… it's just not always convenient. How bout bringin' DASH ABOUT back to it's first state… same maps, just different goals. Poeple were using it quite a bit there till it became just MODS (not to put em down at all… it's just the load times some people have to deal with).

Yeah I wonder whatever happened to the Homelan servers. Anyone know the story? I agree it is good to always have an unmodded Team Scrum server up.

I don't leave my server up all the time, but if I did I certainly would do this esp. During the day because it would fill an definite need.

For what it's worth...done. Galt's Gulch won't handle more than 8 comfortably. :)

So nice… so nice… THANK YOU!! Played a couple games on it last night that were oh so sweet. Pulled off some classic runs on Freudian :)

As soon as I have the time to mess with a router (older model with no DMZ settings) I am planning on putting up a couple of TS servers.

I think it's really good to have this up… THANK YOU ROOSTER!! Was with yesterday, I joined into a big indie scrum game. When I said "TEAMS" and left… everyone else came with me and even the lesser known players were able to hop right into the server and get the TS game going.

Thanks again Rooster :)

Fun is # one!
lol
Look for my very own completely new mod this saturday
I have made a new map with TGE that opens in TT
and will send the map to Reagent X for preloading
Of course it will be a ScruMod
20 - 30 goals that will keep the scrum in play
with definitive sides for teams
75 meter safe drops and plenty of speed boosts
and possibly a surprise or two
hope all enjoy!

@ Roo, RX, and LAD

Okay - fixed the router. We actually have an extra machine that I intend to run 2-3 servers on during the "off hours" which are from 7 pm until 9 am EST.

I would like to set these servers up so that a select few vets can admin, etc. While I am pretty computer literate, I am not going to have the time to study up on how to do this.

Can anyone point out the scripts I need to install so I can go ahead and get these up and running tonight?

Thanks in advance!

Chief

It's sad to see that HomeLan servers aren't running anymore like they used. I rarely can find anyone playing Team Scrum anymore it makes me upset, because I would like to play it more often.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
