OK, this post is really off topic, so if you only want to read a thread on ThinkTanks, just stop right there!

...

I was curious to know what the weather was like where many of you are. I only ask because here in NYC it is bitter cold!! I'm talking multiple layers, Cossack hat, thick scarf wearing weather. The wind and cold doesn't just "nip" at your nose, as the old song goes, it practically tears at it!

The temperature is 10º F, with a wind chill of -4º F !!! Yeah, I know it could get colder (God forbid!) but that's still pretty nippy!

So, what's it like where YOU are? I imagine there are at least a few of you right now in warmer pastures. Perhaps SteAlth, hailing from the Aolha State? What island? Maui, O'ahu, Kaua'I? What's the temp? Ahhhhh, to be there again...

And I wouldn't mind hearing from those Crazy Canucks up north too, where I imagine 10 degress is no big deal. At least it will make me feel better to now it's not as cold as where you are.. I hope.

Come on all, cheer me up! Let me know it's warm somewhere in the World!

Sorry to resurrect this ancient thread, but I just had to comment on the current weather again in NYC and surrounding areas.

*sigh* This past Monday we had some great weather. It was sunny, the temp got up to the mid to high 50's. People were walking around in light jackets or less, enjoying the day! It was like "Yes! Spring is on the way!"

"BZZZZZZT!! WRONG! Thanks for playing"

What do we get on Tuesday? SNOW and cold temperatures! Not just a quick flurry either. Snow that covered some areas in a few inches or more. Cars have snow and ice on them again. Street corners are slushy! Winter is back! Ugh! Granted it's no blizzard, but it's still flurrying right now as I write this, and looking at the forecast for the rest of the week is depressing. Snow tomorrow and Friday, and maybe into Saturday! What the hell?? I only hope this is Winter's last hurrah, and then it'll be gone, 'cause I'm sick of it already. Monday was such a tease.

I only know this. I'm now certain that Mother Nature is in fact a female. Who else would be so temperamental, and change it's mind from one day to the next? ;)

Hey CodeMaster. You're just up the road from me. I'm in Menomonee Falls. Got a lot of friends over in the Cedarburg, Theinsville area. I'm seriously considering a move to warmer climes too. I spent last week in Tucson and 80 degrees with lots of sun sure feels better than what we're going through right now.
