Its always good to clarify this sort of thing (though I didn't know anything about it).
Good idea to mod other's maps. That's the way we used to do things, modding the original maps, and we liked it! I sometimes think its getting to complicated to play TT now since there are SO many new maps and mods with all the corresponding downloads and installations. In that since, I think we might be hurting the game a bit since there's so much more to do now to play than say a year or so ago. I guess in the long run it might have been better for Torque and Bravetree to control the modding a little more and release new maps themselves and not have given us that ability, but I don't think that was the original intention of releasing the TGE the way it was done. Oh well, maps-a-go-go, huh?
Getting the new maps does not take that long if you keep up with them and I have even seen players in game send maps to other players so they could join the next map without waiting or going to the forums to get them.
The community is great.
Maybe there needs to be a master list of ter. And mis. Files. In this dream world we could also have the files crossreferenced to the map name. If you knew the map name then you could look it up and then download only that map. How about having an area where the maps are filed by release date? We would need someone >>> paisano <<<< who is good at making lists. Sounds like a lot of work.

If it was left to Torque and Bravetree we may only get a couple of maps per year and if they didn't play well we would be stuck with them.
If the maps are made by the players and they do not play well we can just put da rooster back into the chicken coop until he gets it right. ;)
In other words the maps are played on and then adjusted if need be. This makes for the best maps possible.
@ All the modders
Keep up the good work. New maps make the game even more fun to play.

I really like playing maps I've never seen before. I have to really be on my toes looking for cover, arrows, etc. When I can drive a map
backwards for minutes at a time without hitting rocks or trees it gets old. Mo maps, mo betta.
Yeah I have to say after putting up the original Frantic maps and playing on them a bit (which were my favorites) you realize how far modding has really come. Not just in the colors and the shiny objects but also there playabilty. I found myself playing those old frantic map going, geez wish this was a touch smaller like Roos map, or added features like Nappies, arrow placement and spawn placement like MonkeMan's. Etc....In short, good job to all the modders, I believe you all have come a long way and please keep going.

I thought about doing thing similar to this, but then I realized a) there are coming too much maps and I can't keep up with them b) I own just few mis files(expect mine own). But there are two lists available triv's and dash's

True, we might just be getting a few maps per year and there is no guarantee that the maps would be as good quality as the stock lush maps which as mattter of fact didn't look like that immediately.
But Bravetree should consider publishing the thinktanks version with editor. If they would editing/modding would be made easier. Everything could be done in thinktanks: adjusting terrain, placing objects, trying the map out. And most importantly the map size would only be whooping 100(+)kb. Compare that to 300(+)kb - 500(+)kb. I think, you can see how fast it would be joining to new maps even without the terrain file.
You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

^^ The initial problem it that we all see the editor as being for TT. Unfortunately Garage Games would probably rather not have TGE associated with a specific game. The focal point of that product is to get people to create their own games.
It would be nice if each of the games did incorporate the editor, so every game published would be simple to mod.
Just drop in some art and make a new world.
I can come up with a Master list, but I will not list any maps or missions using the TT!_1 naming convention.
It's certian to have duplicates.

It has come to my attention that the author of the SCG map series is Pharmaceuticals
I wish to extend my thanks - belatedly - since I used one of his maps for March Modness
As I posted above I made 9 new missions and reworked 7 other maps
3 roos - 2 dashs - 1 Scytheman and 1 SCG which I now know is a Pharmy
The plan was to create diversity without additional downloads
Because of the way the announce script works it might appear that I am claiming 2nd party maps
Forgive me this was never my intention
For those that missed the posts I made during testing and hosting these mission I would like to
take this opportunity to thank the original map makers...
Hell! Its not just any map that can be roosterized
I meticulously went thru 325 of them and only chose 4 maps made by other people
So thanks for the palette I really liked those maps
and I wont be doing it ever again
Now for April I have made 8 new maps and missions
They are currently in testing and the downloads will be made available shortly
To date I have made over 75 original maps of which some 42 are great scrum maps
There are 4 new ones in the works for May kiddies and that may well be that
With approximated 50 maps ScruMODz wont get boring anytime soon
