He came over last night, drunk, at 10:45p. He had been kicked out of rehab for fighting, so he's going to jail for 3 years. He had run over some guy walking in the road during New Year's and left the scene to get help. However, he ended up at home, drank a 5th, then stabbed himself in the gut. The guy he hit survived, so its a misdemeanor, but apparently they have 7 charges to bring against him, so he's still going bye-bye.

He talked to us for a long time about a lot of stuff (2005 was the one year he wasn't arrested since age 18) and even though he wasn't reconciling with us since he wasn't to that AA step yet, he wanted us to know that he was sorry and that he really liked us. We eventually prayed for him a little and he was responsive, but I think he's going to need a lot of help to get straightened out. Hopefully he will do better in jail and get turned around through a jail ministry. Since he's supposed to only have 2 years to live, this is effectively a life sentence for him.

I am relieved to hear he's going away, especially for my son's sake. "RhinoThunder" is afraid to go out in the yard by himself since you never know if the neighbor's going to be Jekyll or Hyde. Personally, I've been a little traumatized by the whole thing myself, though I can't help but feel sorry for him and want to help him in a smart way. Hopefully this is the best scenario.

Is your neighbor named Julio and does he have a pet goat that keeps coming in your house?

Sorry, I watched an episode of Sanford and Son real late last night. XD

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

I hope it all works out well. Your family has been through a lot with that one.

May "RhinoThunder" freely roam the yard, and I hope your neighbor can see the light you are shining on him. Maybe this will be resolution for all of you.

^ Thanks, Holmes.

My new concern at this point is...who are the new renters going to be? ;)

Might I suggest a pre-emptive strike on them, no matter who they might be? If they turn out to be OK, you can always apologize later...I'm thinking some "shock and awe" at the get go may let them know not to F with you and yours. Try lighting their cat on fire for starters. Walk around your yard necked...get them to fear you. And then, little by little if they seem ok, start letting them know you are an OK feller, but one not to be trifled with.

I'm glad your neighbor got sent away. Hopefully he will live longer than the prediction.

Aren't crazy neighbors fun. I could go into a little bit of detail about my own but I think you have been traumatized enough already. Here's hoping that you can come home a feel secure again.

Enjoy the lack of neighbors for a while. When the new ones come in whatever you do don't take stinky's advise. You've got to be much much worse than that to put the proper fear into them. Be creative. Doggy doo missles over the fence onto the house at night could work, or hiding behind the bushes and jumping out with a machete in you hand would also work... ;)

"Shock and Awe"...I'll take that under advisement. ;)

And now the bad news...he lingers.

This morning around 5AM, I hear him and his dad arguing outside. A local dog starts barking so I can't listen in, but I did hear, "Whenever I want to say something, you don't want to here it" and "...my lawyer...". Seems when they both argue, they tend to mash their words together as they yell. Eventually I hear daddy start the truck and hit the road. Junior goes to the house and talks to mom a bit before returning to his apartment.

Fortunately the Mrs and the little one didn't hear them. As I returned to the house from taking my son to the bus stop, I could hear the apartment door open and close. Guess when he saw me outside, he didn't want to come out (which I guess is a good thing).

I find myself wishing I could influence the judge somehow to send this character away. While I'm still an compassionate conservative, Jo Jo gotta go go. Letting him off will only inspire more "shenanigans".

The drama continues...

An ambulance and county sheriff just loaded him up for a trip to the hospital. This usually occurs when he's had too much to drink. Oddly enough, he was in his parent's house, so it doesn't seem like they're keeping too close an eye on him or they just let him do what he wants (which I think is at the root of the problem, him being the youngest of three children).

I discovered yesterday that a little tree I had planted in the backyard had been pulled up. The tree had been a point of contention between me and my neighbor (though his dad had no problem with it), so I assumed he probably got mad and decided it was time to pull it up. Tired of it all, I finally ended up talking to a Sheriff's deputy.

Apparently Saturday was the closer. His bond has been revoked and he's in jail awaiting trial. Hopefully he'll be convicted and get 3 to 5 years. At least we can get some peace, enjoy going outside again and hope the best for him in the care of others.

^ wow it sure looks like u've been tho a whole lot. I can only wonder why some people like ur neighbor could be so crazy....must've had childhood problems...

Well, If u'll allow me, here is my little story of my former crazy neighbors:

This was about 5 years ago, when I still lived in New Jersey. The property next to our had gone up for sale, and we were considering buying it for a while, and then somehow we got sidetracked and didn't think if the propert for a while. Then about 2 months later or so, a new family bought the propery and put up the most ugly house I have ever seen. To give you an idea, the hose was covered in little portholes and oddly shapped windows, and was painted hospital blue..u know, that really pale youcky blue. Anyways, apprently their money ran out and the house just sat there. The yard was a mass of dirt, the septic tank was in full view in the middle of the front yard. And the construction stickers were still in the windows. However, the house wasnt the worst part. They used to scream constently, and every day we could hear some dialogue like the folllowing, read it in a really loud voice:

Man (presumably husband): "Honey, I'm home!!"

Woman (presumably wife): "Thats great dear, now.....ouch, d*** it (son's name don't know what it was) you moron why'd you do thar!"

Man: (son's name) You idiot don't do that now go inside!

<---END dialogue--->

Imagine that dialogue in really loud voices, everyone on the street could hear them. Thankfully, we finally moved when my dad got a new job and the ordeal was over. Hoever, my mom just drove by our old place not to long ago as a side trip and guess what, the stickers were still in the windows of their house! Lmao.

Well, now my hand is numb..I hope you liked my story. What is ironic is that my new house is in a development...a very quite development..normally they'd be loud right?

:)
