I love pool, so I thought, could we make a version of it for TT?

Your tank is the cue ball, and the "balls" will be 187 Hockey pucks with numbers on the skins, you have to break by ramming the "balls" with your tank, once you hit one your tank will slide around. Once you start going strait it gets very hard to turn and your tank barely brakes at all and you slide.

You will continue hitting "balls" one by one into the holes in the terrain, the "pockets."

However, if the 8 ball, which will be on the blue team, dies, you will die and the game will be over.

Possible? I am willing to do the skins and mission/terrain.

Sounds like fun. I'm also a huge fan of billiards. But, I have too many scripts on my plate right now, so I can't really script it now. I might be able to once my schedual lightesn up a bit.

Yikes, I mean no disrespect for your idea but I personally dont like sliding tanks with no brakes. Thats y I prefer ufos. They hrdly ever slide unnecisarily and only when u use slide tactic. X/

^ Sliding is supposed to replicate the balls rolling.

@Canned,
I will start on the terrain and mission, email me when you have the time to do it. Racer445@gmail.com

Balls will be tricky, because you have to have loads of different new tanks for difference skins. Every new number will have to be a a new tank

You could make it more of a scrum game by makeing the pockets goals. You could make seperate spawn points all over the map for tanks and the scrum. That would be a lot easyer and fun too.

Thats easy.i think any way if need any help send me the terrain.and I could do the rest.

Saturday, September 03, 2005 at 1:16:16 PM

Err... No. Sorry bomber but I'd rather it be like normal pool, not scrum. Good idea tho.

Saturday, September 03, 2005 at 1:46:01 PM

Aye, fun, yes but how do you set them up?? Manually? Tkae too long? Automatically? Very hard

Saturday, September 03, 2005 at 6:41:27 PM

Made a terrain tell me if you want it.

Nice terrain. Sad I cant load Capture the Flag, Drag Racing, Big Nuke Bada-Bum, Billiards, etc. I dont knnow how. Those servrs never load. :[

Sunday, September 04, 2005 at 7:30:55 AM

You need some sort of predownload, or just click on it, then go watch your fav tv show or sumthing... Then, when it is all nice and loaded, it will only take about 30 secs!

Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

Nice terrain did you make the skins for it? O and if you did can we get a predownload of the terrain and skins.

Sunday, September 04, 2005 at 8:31:14 AM

Maybe you could put scrum goals in the pockets which cant be seen that way theres less scripting

Yeah, good idea. U can put scrumgoals in the pockets.

Monday, September 05, 2005 at 3:56:13 AM

Orrr you can make it sort of like soccer(I like that mod)any way put scrumgoals in the pockets(which act like soccer goals)and put balls like in my soccer game except more then 1 like 8 no 16! And you push them in to the holes loike real pool.best I could think of.

Monday, September 05, 2005 at 5:17:45 AM

If Big Show can make the pockets go down to the floor (use Set Height), then we can plant large CTF/Scrum goals down there so nobody can see them.

I'll start making the skins today.

They are except its too dark to see %) XD

Hey this sounds great! The sliding thing is easy;skins will take time(with new tanks and such), but you could make each "ball" the same thing but only a liiiiiiiiiiitle bit bigger.....like you know with scale in milkshape?
@Racer: Great idea!!And who doesn't love pool?
@Big Show:Good work on the terrain!
Keep going with it guys, this will be fun to play.....but it wouldn't be good for more than one person (As tons of peep ramming all the different "balls")=P

Oh... Remember that the one that pushed the ball into the goal will not get the score. THERE IS NO WAY to know who touched the ball last time before it went to the hole... And youre not thinking of making "team balls"... Lol if we put a green ball into the hole it scored a point for green team... And the blue ball for the blue team... Only way to do it else the points wouldnt exist and the game wouldnt have any meaning :)

Friday, September 09, 2005 at 3:51:29 AM

^ This is one player. SO that means you don't need to know what ball touched who last.

The 8 ball is on a seperate team (Blue) than the other balls, it goes in the pocket, you lose.

The balls are on the green team, so if one goes in you get a point.

You are on the Red team, if you go in you start in one of 5 spawn points.
