If you disagree with the following and might start too much conflict (This might be a good debate), don't post.

The entire forum seems so slow moving! For the last 3 days, there have only been 2 post's in the Modding forums. Here in general, although there is some life, it's nothing compared to the usually hustle bustle on a regular day! Same thing in ThinkTanks, it seems so slow! When I used to go online, tons of my friends were always on, so I had to be forced of the computer! It seems that somehow, either I'm making a huge deal of a very obsolete reason, or ThinkTanks is slowing down, and for one horrible reason?

In game, so many people are talking about all these other great games (in my opinion none are better than ThinkTanks). They all like them because of how great the graphics are, or that you can stuff grenades down people's heads, or how when you shoot someone's head enough, their brain falls out (I personally have no taste for this type of violence). These game producers are doing a great job at entertaining the masses. My question is, how could anyone possibly enjoy all this violence? Is it funny? Is it intelligent (please don't tell me that!)? Or is it ( my own opinion) just plain asinine? What is so special about these games that makes this new generation enjoy them so much? All they do is teach kids to grow up and like violence and guns, the things that we American's (or Canadians, w/e) don't want in our society! It may seem fun or humorous now, but just wait until our free country turns into a wasteland of interiorly uneducated people, so that it will be a major thing to walk out the door, leaving yourself for the danger of the outside world! Now does that sound frightening? To me that makes me feel horrible, to know that someday, this might happen! I'm also bringing this situation up because I recently heard of a game that is rated 'T' that involves seducing women into sex, and then killing them for prophet! This is the exact game that someday kids will be copying, thinking that it is COOL. Every day, this is what I wake up to, worrying about my freinds, with so much peer pressure, thinking that they have to do pot and smoke to fit in! Them hanging out with the wrong crowds, the ones that are treating violence as the only way to solve an issue, just because they weren't brought up right! I can't stand it, all these are aspects that are making mine and the rest of our lifes worse (you can't deny it... You'd have to have had no contact with drugs, violence, our people involved with these problems to disagree)! I feel that everything is falling apart...

Here, Here. About ThinkTanks...You cannot beat the community here. Would someone please point out a different game that you can look at people in a server list and know exactly who each one is, and what they're like. It's like my high school; we have recently taken in 3 new students from New Orleans because the Jesuit school over there was completely flooded out. They have told the administration our school is nothing like theirs. Except for the few obvious jerks that every school has, the people are welcome and you are always looking forward to go there in the morning. Didn't I e-mail you recently Splam that PTT is going down the toilets? It is an ugly thing. Violence....Games that promote that are just stupid. People that play those type-a-games will turn around 10 years from now and ask what is causing all the violence in the world. Me? ThinkTanks is pretty much as violent as it gets around here, 1) because of my parents 2) because I have no intrest in senseless annhilation. That's my take on this whole shananagan.

Yada yada yada! I understand what your saying! Most people look at the general forums! I am not getting in a rant like you.

Games that last are easy to play, hard to be great at, and very engaging. TT fits that very well.

Have you noticed that the range of people playing this is pretty diverse? Everyone isn't 13-19 and into gore and splatter. The problem with those gory games is that they just get old after a while.

In TT, you've got the kids and you've got the middle aged folks who cut their gaming teeth on Donkey Kong and Pong (and some who had pinball before video games...)

This game is a real gem, and so is the community. I've been around here about a year, and it's all been good. You may have trolls, but overall this is a great place. I'm hoping that those who value it will keep it going for a long time, but we'll see...

My opinion here OK

PTT is a great site and community. I never post here about the game or modding etc I just like the random threads in the general forum,

If it wasnt for PTT I would never have met so many great people from around the world.
When I join a game of TT I dont really care about if I win or lose it's having a good time with my virtual tank friends..... Which I usually lose.

I have made so many good friends via PTT and TT that I share regular emails and AOL chat with on a regular basis,
Its a strange thing, but I chat regularly to a few blokes who I feel are amongst my best freinds although I have never seen them and maybe will never see them in real life (I hope thats not the case!!!!).

Nuts&Bolts, Hakko, PEST, Red Seal, SepticTank, 44 - I endevour to meet you in person before I or you cark it. LOL
also on the way if by chance I could meet , Rouge, Lonewolf, LGM, Nap, KBC and KKB I'd be glad to buy the beers.

I agree with splam. TT is a completely non violent game. Why? Because no killing takes place. The brains take off and go get another tank! Whereas games with "plot", you never just nock someone out. You must kill them. And it is pointless. I only ever like those kind of games if they acually have a good plot to them. Like Halo. Not too gory, good developing plot. Games I do not like include Doom games and others like it. Almost pointless...

Believe it or not I read an article about crime rated since the 70s and 80's up till now.....no...it hasnt gone up..its gone DOWN ... Yes..it has..so dont be hatin Battlefield 2 and medal of honor just because u can shoot and destroy things....cause its wut boys play and u cant change it...

lol!!! Splam, im not talking about real life....i sure hope u knew that...im talking about video games... And yes, I agree with u about the whole sticking grenades in peoples brains and blowing there heads off.....but u just cant pass up a "good shoot em up" that has no blood (like battle field 2 and medal of honor (1 through 3)) game when u have the chance...
