I learned this from (demo)getmika and it was pretty cool watching them do it...I seen one guy make it there but he/she(never know) exploded after landing on it that's when getmika was showing us how to do it...think about it Island Hopping....

I think the modders out there should work on this: imagine a series of islands with jump pads, It would add a challenging dimension to any game.

A good game is one complex enough for players to discover these little tricks and find unexpected and unplanned aspects of the game.

If u want 2 get 2 an island (u might already know this,but ill say it anyway!) on yer.mis file u will see this

New MissionArea(MissionArea) {
area = "-256 -256 512 512";
flightCeiling = "200";
flightCeilingRange = "0";
floor = "95";
locked = "false";

change it 2

New MissionArea(MissionArea) {
area = "-512 -512 1024 1024";
flightCeiling = "200";
flightCeilingRange = "0";
floor = "95";
locked = "false";

^ in cranium crater you must be on the top of that lone hill, away from the crater with the boost pad on top. Below you is the small plain with another, movable boost pad in front of you. Line up that lower boost pad so is pointed staight away from you and toward the cliff. Start at the top of the hill, hit the boost pad and then hit the second one with that speed. Avoid the little tree and try to steer toward the cliff. The combined speed of the two boost pads should send you over the cliff and to the island. You won't live long but your after death, you can see the map and players from a distance in your out-of-body-experience.

Another method to use a heavy tank on Cranium Crater and go to that little sharp pointy rock/hill right by the edge of the map. (It's located behind the boost pad and jump pad on the edge of the ridge overlooking the crater; the boost pad sends you toward the high, steep hill.) Climb s l o w l y to the top of the point and balance there after a second or two and you will begin to sink into the rock and the ground below. Evenually you will be thrown up, down, or across the map and sometimes you will end up on some far distant island.

I started the island hopping with my Blasters Gully my first mod.

Simply go in mission file of any map with islands and use this for mission area size

New MissionArea(MissionArea) {
area = "-1024 -1024 2048 2048";
flightCeiling = "200";
flightCeilingRange = "0";
floor = "90";
locked = "false";

Then with Mod Wizard make youre jumps to the islands add trees rocks or remove them. Don't forget to save a copy of the original.mis file.

Island Hopping was a glitch in version 1.02 of the game on Cranium. But that was fixed in version 1.1. Therefore, you can't just go to a Shockwave server anymore and be able to sit on the island and survive. Instead you die when you get there.
