You don't have to prebuild your team. You might want to pre-build some AIs, but you could also just slap some AIs together for a specific challenge if you wanted to.
For instance, you could challege me to a match with 2 Lights and Heavy on a certain map (or maps); or I could challenge you to Scrum with 4 Lights, or whatever.
I've not looked at the AIs you sent me yet, but since you've already got them built, I'll challenge you to Battlemode on Freudian Flats for 25+ games with 2 Lights and 1 Heavy.
You get to choose the day we have the match (that way you can change your AIs if you wish).
Edit: Changed the challenge from Pituitary Plateau to Freudian Flats, because I just remembered Pituitary Plateau is boring to watch. The tanks just sit and snipe at each other.

Friday works well. Would you prefer a daytime run, or nighttime? I can do either one on that day. That way, if you want to watch some of it, you can.
ACK!! That was supposed to be today, wasn't it? :[
I was so busy this week I forgot to set it up. Is tomorrow okay with you?
Any one willing to share thier AIs, I need really good bot's for my new mod.
4/1/1929 to 11/17/2006 Rest in Peace Bo. GO BLUE!!!
Email me with what you need and I'll see what I can do for you.
Cool, thanks Master TMO, I will e-mail you soon. :P

DJ - I've started the match and will leave it running all night. Feel free to drop in and watch at any time - like the other Bot matches, humans cannot interfere.
I'm getting a kick out of watching this!! You scored the first kill, and I got #s 2 & 3, then you got #4. I was briefly ahead 10-6, but now it's 16-16. I look forward to seeing the final results. B)
Just skimmed the scores, and we've both won some and lost some. It's funny, but if you just look at the individual tanks, his Heavy wins hands down, every single time. It's always above 10, while I think the best I've done is 6 or so. (edit: just checked - 11 is my highest. 19 is his.)
But the overall scores are currently slightly in my favor: 5 games to 3. Although, one of those games was by a 1 pt margin, and another only by 2 points. Hardly conclusive evidence for TMO dominance. ;)
The server is running on my laptop - if you can't see it try refreshing. It's called Team Bot Challenge (prot).
I would have put it on my main PC, but I've been doing graphics work all day and didn't want to overload my memory.
The challenge was for 25 games, but if it's alright with you I want to run it longer, to minimize luck - we're so even that even a little luck on one side or the other makes a huge difference.
And I'm going to have to work on my Heavy design obviously. ;)
Final Score Results:
75 Games
Team TMO: 55.29 pts
Team DJ: 52.76 pts
Tanks:
DJ Heavy: 15.12 pts
TMO Heavy: 5.53 pts
TMO Light 1: 2.29 pts
TMO Light 2: 2.11 pts
DJ Light 1: 0.73 pts
DJ Light 2: 0.68 pts
Due to the nature of TBM scoring, we'll never know for sure how many kills each tank actually got. REALLY close scores! I'll email you a copy of the scores file.
Is anyone going to open source their bot ai? I for one would like to have real good scrum bots in my games. It would be much appreciated.
I was planning to, but just haven't had the time to do it. Send me an email and I'll send you my settings for a Light tank for Scrum.
They're still nowhere near as good as a person though.
And maybe someday I'll get around to posting my AIs....
Hrmph... I suspect I need to work on my Heavy then, shouldn't I? XD
BTW, don't forget that you can specify any team design you want in a challenge. Doesn't have to be what we used this time.
I was actually sorta expecting that. XD
You're under no obligation to try and make your challenge an even one. Although since it's just the two of us we'll enjoy the matches more if they are. If there were a bunch of us here and you wanted to rise up the ranks that'd work just fine. At least until I challenged you to a match with 4 Lights. XD

Related to the Bot Challenges I've been running so far, this is for Team battles. I think I've come up with a workable format for it. I honestly don't know if there is any actual interest in this or not, but I'll post it anyways. Let me know if you're interested and I'll start setting it up. B)
The purpose of this is to build your own team of tanks and challenge them against an equal team fielded by another.
RULES:
- All Players will be placed in Ranks.
- You may challenge someone in your Rank or one Rank above or below.
- You may not challenge someone already involved in a Challenge, or who has put themselves on hold.
- The Challenger defines the competition when the challenge is issued. The number and type of tanks, the map(s) to be used, and the number of games. (I suggest a minimum of 25 games to reduce the effects of luck)
- Any tank size may be used in the challenge, including custom-designs. The settings for the custom design must be included in the initial Challenge. Both sides must be equal in size and makeup. The only difference should be in the AIs.
- The Defender then chooses the date the challenge will be run and the host. The date must be within a month of when the Challenge was issued. This gives everybody plenty of time to prepare and make sure schedules are clear. (I will be happy to host as many of these as you like, but can only host 1 challenge at a time.)
- The Defender has 1 week to respond to the challenge.
- Not responding to a challenge or not having your AI settings in to the host in time for the set date is a forfeit.
- Human tanks will be set to die automatically.
- Please note that the Defender does not have the option of refusing the challenge.
- The host will randomly determine before beginning which team is Green and which is Blue.
RANKS:
- To join, post your intent here. I'll add your name to the bottom Rank.
- To advance in Rank, challenge someone or be challenged.
- If both Players are the same Rank, the winner will advance 1 Rank and the loser will remain at that Rank.
- If one Player is higher Rank than the other, the winner will be moved or remain at the higher Rank, while the loser will be moved or remain at the lower Rank.
- If a Rank is ever left empty it will be removed from the chart.
EXAMPLE:
Ranks:
============================
Bob; Fred; George*; Sally
============================
Harry; Bill; Steve
============================
Harry can challenge anyone in his Rank or the one above him. He issues a Challenge to Fred, specifying 3 Light Tanks on the Freudian Flats map for 25 games. Fred sets the date for the challenge (this allows him time to prepare if needed). Nothing in the Challenge says that all 3 tanks have to use the same AI, so each player can customize the AIs, using 3 different AIs if desired. If Fred wins the Challenge, both Players stay in their Ranks. If Harry wins, Harry moves up to the higher Rank, and Fred drops down to the lower.
If Bill challenged Steve, the winner would advance to the next higher Rank occupied by Bob, Fred, George and Sally. George is on vacation/hold and cannot be challenged until he returns/has time to participate. Anybody from the higher Rank could challenge any of the others in their same Rank, or the Rank underneath. Challenging down is legal, but you have nothing to gain, and stand to lose your higher Rank if you lose.
FUN CHALLENGES:
- A Fun Challenge doesn't have to follow any of the rules above. Different team strengths can be used, Ranks can be more than 1 apart, human players, etc.
- The Defender may decline any Fun Challenge for any reason.
- No Player will change Ranks due to a Fun Challenge unless it was specifically agreed to in the initial Challenge.
RANKS:
Master TMO; DJ Wings
OPEN CHALLENGES:
??/??/???? - TMO vs DJ Wings; Freudian Flats; 25+ games; 2 Light tanks & 1 Heavy
