Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill
I could be really paranoid and say that the bill can be used to create the necessary framework in which a full 1984 senario can exist. Change the papers everyday so history is always as it needs to be. Labour has always been in power, jesus voted labour, god is Blairs dad. The possibilities are truely limitless.
And why the f*** doesn't anyone seem to realise that this is the ultimate threat, sod ID cards with this if the government doesn't like you, you have no rights, you can cease to have been born and lived.
Memory isn't very reliable, people do believe what they are told above what they believe if the teller is convincing enough.

SLEEPWALKING INTO DICTATORSHIP.
Sir: Imagine a country where the head of state is unelected. Where the government rules with absolute and unopposed power from only 22 percent of the electorate. A country where ID will shortly be made compulsory and vital services denied to those who can't produce it on demand.
This is a country where the old are left to die in poverty, where children are confined to schools from seven in the morning until seven at night in order that their parents can be absorbed into the states's consumerist ideals. A state where a family with two wage earners cannot afford to buy a home and private pension schemes have become worthless, whilst the ruling elite force the people to subsidise both their way of life and their pensions.
Shortly, this country will ban demonstrations within a mile of its seat of power so that its leader is not embarrassed in the presence of foreign statesmen.
Welcome to the United Kingdom- a country that is very nearly a dictatorship in all but name, with the numb compliance of a population who are sleep-walking into it. Start waking up before it's too late.

As the new laws came into effect at midnight I'd just like to point out that at no point have I ever thought terrorism was at all good and would never encourage or incite anyone to become involved with terrorist activities of any sort. And glorification is right out, let me tell you.
