I was just curious as to how many wasted hours your husbands spend with this ridiculous game?

You would rather we went to the bar and got hammered with our time. At least we are home. Not trying to be snarky but just pointing out the alternatives. It is a fun game and a good community, just a little bit of relaxation with shooting and driving. What could be bad about that.

I would have rather my ex spent tons of hours here mrs 44. Instead of what he was doing, Maybe we would still be married. The community of some of these guys are a refreshing thing to see. They do no harm and are home while playing. The group of guys I speak of 44 can tell you who they are. They are some of the most respectfull men I have met in along time. So I feel if they are wasteing time here playing this game then atleast you lnow where they are. After all look at the losers out there, your very lucky.. He's home... And remember they are always going to be little boys if they are decent men. I would welcome you to join us some time. SAM

Yes I agree it does take time away from the family a little bit, especially the more you do for people in this community, but it's also a trade off. Many fthe people I know that stay up to play thias game typically just forego sleep. If I didn't play this game I wouldn't really have more time with my wife, I'd just have more hours of sleep.

Hi Mrs 44. I really hate this whole think tank thing. My husband is glued to the computer with all his computer "geek" friends and does not give me the time of day.

League nights are absolutely the worst. I deal with: cussing, yelling, screaming and sometimes he even punches the monitor. Even worse, he comes to bed after midnight complaining about how high his "ping" was during the game, when actually I should be the one complaining, because haven't even seen his "ping" lately let alone a large one!!

The real 44 here. That was Mrs. Fo Fo up above, in a moment of unusually high crankiness yesterday morning. Probably related to having watched me sit in front of the computer for 2-3 hours straight on a Saturday morning while she cleaned the house (I'm guessing). Finally she said, "how do the wives of all of your geeky, 'friends' (lots of sarcasm in her voice, at this point) tolerate this?"

I laughed and suggested she ask them herself. She's enjoyed most of the responses..especially LGMs suggestion of a TT Widows Club. I've nearly split a gut reading several of them.

If I'm particularly persuasive, I'll get her to post again later.

@44 Umm you could have an agreement to not play on the weekends... Ie Friday - Sunday...

First of all, my husband is NOT a geek, but he is a nut. I do agree that his enthusiasm for the game is puzzling to me. But, it makes him happy and (as others have refered to) it gives him an outlet. I have come to terms with being a think tanks widow (at least I used to be, he has cut back on his playing and is spending more time with me and The Boy).

Listen up girls, Mrs. Rogue here. I have a little advice that may help. Think Tanks has spiced up our relationship. Some couples play doctor or other role playing games to enhance their marriages. I've come up with a new role playing game. We call it Late Night Scrum.

I dress up in glowing neon rings which represent a scrum goal. I run around the house carrying a pumpkin to represent the scrum ball. Mr. Rogue chases me all over the house and when he finally catches me he gets a goal.

The only downside of this is that I've not been able to get him to see the doctor about a heavy tank implant. Don't get me wrong, it's not the size of the tank that matters. Mr. Rogue does have some great moves with his light tank but he does have an issue with hitting speed pads prematurely.

Hope this helps ladies.
