Great job Art and Ishbuu, but I still think the best place to learn from is GG, from the professionals, that's where I learned from anyway, being around well educated people always improves yourself. This would be great for the newbies.

Hrmm, well that would be a useful little tidbit if I haven't been there for the past 3 years :P This is designed to be TT specific, I've been working with TT mods longer than you've been in the community.

Look loser, ishbuu, moo whatever your name is, I've been here longer than you (on numerous names) I also have a TGE lisence, so, want lessons? Mail me, haha. And appleyard also has a TGE lisence, and is better at torquescript then you'll ever be, so grow up, read some tutorials!

you dont need a TGE license to mod TT, so how the **** does that make you any better?

Art Crazy doesnt have a TGE license but he is 5 times better than you, apple, ish, and me put together!

I dont see you developing your own scripts for the public, much less a tutorial

Well, Ishbuu has been here LONGER THAN YOU! He was one of the first scriptors TT ever had! -z-, ish and 187 (nate too) were the first scriptors! Ishbuu then left for almost an year, but I know he was already here in the times when you used the nickname "Sperm"

Why is he unbanned in the first place lonewolf? He's being annoying, flaming, and I've had TGE for almost 3 years and have probably done more with it than him XD Sorry, just had to add that in. He is talking out of his @$$ and flaming pros. Sounds like grounds for banning to me.

Bumped an old thread = bringing a thread back from the dead. Returning things from the dead = necromancy. Hence the term necromancy. Doesnt matter much though, it is self promotion XD So anyways yeah I'll find art tomorrow and go over the writing with him in depth.

Morfuez, you're making fights with people you don't want fights with. TGE licence doesn't mean crap when you're scripting - and a real owner of the engine would know that. I don't care if appleyard has a friggin licence cause modding is about imagination and skill, which you have none of from based on all of your posts. Stop talking out of your ass and grow up.

Appleyard, if you're gonna script you're going to need at least some figuring skill, as hardly anything is handed to you on a silver platter. The basic usage of it is there and the following chapters take them through many examples which expand the knowlage of a scripter. The old school scripters didn't have anything handed to them by anybody, I taught myself from looking at one little portion of script I got from 187. It was a "here you go" sorta deal, I never got any explinations or anything. I taught myself every from a small scoring script. I don't know too much about you so I can't tell you what I told Morfuez. I can say shut up and leave it alone. You've never done anything like this, so stop critisizing others' works.

I'm not the one in charge of Chapter 4, if I was (and wanted to do it, as its a hard explanation) It'd be finished soon :)

You shouuuld already have it, ive been using it for a month and a half, its GREAT! It should be in you Harddrive!

As far as I know, the only compiler for TSL is TGE itself! There are many IDEs (like Tribal IDE, my own favorite) but no compiler apart from TGE (TGE based games count)

I still like Apple script. It's great!

I think Nathan meant real scripts, not just few functions...

Guess what... After I get everything back (after reformatting my HD and forgetting to backup TT) I might continue this thing ;)... Now to get my admin script's source back plus few other things and I'll continue it... Anyways if I do make it the gametype example will be much later on and probably will be torn apart in various chapters (as it'd be too big to read, and prolly too complicated)

Um art... I am unable to access the internet at home from my PC anymore... If you were expecting to get your source back from me you will have to wait until I can get your stuff on a flash drive and upload them somewhere at school...
