Anyone can tell how they ended up in TT or found the game in this thread. This is how I found it:

After I had replaced my 48kbps Dial-up with a 250kbps Broadband connection, I decided to download some games. I went to Realarcades site through a link in Realplayer. I downloaded "Spongebob's Obstacle Odyseey" and also RealArcade. %) It wasn't a very good game, so I looked in Realarcade's download catalog. I found Airstrike 2, Airstrike 3d and DemonStar demos ok. :S They were good, but had none or lousy multiplayer. :'( When I first saw TT, I thought it was a strategy game because of its name. 8o I downloaded it to see what it was and its demo was excellent. XD Since then, I've been playing TT. :)

Lol I thought id look at shockwave.com for some good games then I found TT and im a total strategy freak so I thought it was a strategy game TOO lol

I found it through Real Arcade initially. When that demo ran out, I went over to shockwave. I actually didn't even know I could enter "online" until I started playng Garage's demo. Once I discovered that, well I had to buy it. B)

Me too. It was by accident, really, finding Shockwave.com. A MacAddict issue. You see, I have a PC. I personally think that owning a copy of Linux (which, like Mac OS X, is Unix-based) and having found SW.Com, and hence TT, through a MacAddict issue (Dec/02) justifies my subscription.
PS: My second-favorite SW.Com game is BLiX.

I was browsing through SW. Com to find some games to play on a quiet day. I found thinktanks and I wondered what it was. Jimmy told me. I went to download it, but I had but mac os 9... Boooo. Then, when I got my laptop from my school, I dl'ed it right away. Unfortunately, I wasn't bright enough to realize that it was just a one day demo, and I lost it after that day... Waaa. But then yea of gods, on my B-Day, My Parents told me they would buy the game for me... I then thought I shoud try and looking at bravetree (thinking I could buy it from there) and found the link to GG. All easy after that... Why doesn't shockwave make the full mac version demo thing anymore either... I haven't ben able to play normal light tank in 3 months! :[

I got a mac at work, and there was a game on it that was fun. I went to the GarageGames site to look at more stuff about MarbleBlast, and saw an ad for ThinkTanks. I always liked tank games, so I downloaded the demo. Once I went online with it, I was hooked.

Goth¥ämï told me about it and I thought to give it a try and thats how I got TT. I love it ;) XD XD

Well like 2 years ago, I didn't know what to do on the computer. So I started downloading some games from www.downloads.com (not sure the site still exists ;) ). And my sister did the same, and she saw ThinkTanks on the list and downloaded it, becaus she thought that it had something to do with Christmas 8o [I don't get the link XD]. And then I saw it and I started playing the DEMO. Like a few months later I told my mom and dad that the game I was playing ended, that it had a limit so I couldn't play it anylonger. That is how I started with playing TT!

Once upon a time I went on www.shockwave.com then I went too see all Shooters I saw this game called Think Tanks I started trying it out and it seemed like a good game ;) So after I loved it but I asked my parents too buy it they said "NO" so I got really mad but then I went too my Uncle And I was supprised cause he bought the game and was a Good Scripter (CANT SAY NAME) So I asked him could u buy me one for my Birthday he said yea sure :). After my Uncle bought the game he said hey lemme teach you some good Skillz and I said ok ok ok why not? But when I versed him he killed me like I was a DOLL SITTING PLANTED ON THE GROUND -- But after awhile I got better than him way past him and it was like he was the DOLL SITTING PLANTED ON THE Ground.

I was never a demo. Saw it in an Apple newsletter and liked it, so I just bought it.

Quick side note:
KBC bought TT after KKB, yet KBC joined PTT ASAP;...so before KKB joined PTT, KBC became a MOD...but then KKB may be a PS9 CAP, and KBC is AWOL, so WTF? :)
