I may make some more for you -z-. I hear you can cycle more that twelve, hope that is true!
I sent mine hope you like it (no hiding)(its my first mod)
I can cycle as many as there are. Currently there are about 9 and Im hoping to get up to about 30 or more.

Well, TT has been out for quite a while now, and there are now plenty of community members creating a variety of mods, and I'd like to help showcase many of the better mods that are around using the PTT Survivor server as a base for community contributions. This includes maps and now I'm going to be adding weapons and powerups to it. (in-game credit is - and will be - given for any maps or other weapon mods)
Only the better maps and mods will be accepted for it, showing off what people have done and can do. They also have to be both sensible and suitable. No crazy whacky weapons like firing tanks or ufos etc, and no 'fairgrounds' or 'racetrack maps' - they should be designed for use with survivor (and possibly a future gametype)
Survivor is up almost 24-7 (only taken down when league matches are on). There is no limit to the number of maps I can add for it to choose from (randomly) and likewise I can add in as many powerups as required.
Let's see if as a community of modders, we can put together a whole set of particularly good mods. I think Survivor is the ideal game-type for such a collaboration and I look forward to seeing what people can come up with. Perhaps later down the road, I can also set up some kind of voting system so that everyone can vote on which weapons and maps they like best.
Powerups like the flamethrower and plasma guns etc are perfect examples of the quality which will be included. All these will be added in to all the levels of Survivor and it may turn out to have 20+ different powerup types per level. Any submitted weapons should be suitably named, and credit will be given in game for all those used.
Powerups / Weapons Guidelines :
1. All weapons should be relatively balanced.. There will be no 'all powerful' powerup.
2. If it does a lot of damage, you should only have a couple of shots with it.
3. No powerup should be less effective than the default shells.
4. No powerups should last too long. Give it a sensible amount of ammo.
5. No 'silly' effects like shooting ufo's or tanks etc. Only sensible and tastefully done powerups please.
6. Give your powerup / weapon a suitable name.
7. Include your name as you would like it to appear in-game if its suitable enough to be included.
8. Be creative and have fun.
Map making guidelines :
If you wish to create a map for it, please make sure it is nicely polished and take the time to play test it.
1. Making sure you can't get trapped in places on the map (ie, in a clump of rocks).
2. If you are using rocks to make a wall.. Make sure its a way and that you can't sneak through a gap in a light if you hit it at the right angle.
3. Make sure you have added things like a reload station
4. Do not go overboard on trees. These have high polygon counts, and large numbers of trees can cause slower computers to lag.
5. Don't cover the ground in powerups. Think sensibly.
6. Don't make places that only lights can get into. All places should be accessible by all tanks.
7. Make sure you have plenty of spawn locations. Everyone spawning in a pile is tedious and frustrating.
8. Try not to make corridoors too tight to manoeuver in.
9. Make the level interesting in some way. Remember to place odd objects in wide open areas to break up the terrain a bit.
10. No maps should allow you to get off the main island. (without dying)
11. Use of bouncepad stacks etc is perfectly acceptable, if used cleverly, but always bear in mind that the map is for a game of survivor and not a fairground or a racetrack.
12. Make sure rocks and trees aren't 'floating' above the ground, make sure their bases are sunked into the ground to some degree
13. Leave plenty of relatively open areas. Bots are useless in confined areas.
14. Give your map a suitable name. See Nathan's thread on naming maps for ideas and suggestions on this.
15. Be creative and have fun

Hey -z- im makin new powerups in my mod (i.e. More than just the original 3) none of them are overpowered and so far have a nice variaty. Also the add new emitters if I made something for survivor would I have to remove them, so they could be included in your survivor? Thx in advance

Ishbuu, with respect to emitters, no problem, so long as they are used in moderation and do not degrade performance on lower spec machines. I know that the Freudian Forest level degrades performance due to the number of trees, and I never really wanted to even use this level, but many people wanted it included so I have included it for the time being.

It's not very big, but I can add to it.
It also has some smokey little emitters, which cause no lag, and my computer isn't exactly state of the art.

The place were it says name = "Medulla Mesa "; just change the medulla mesa to what ever you want
Paco - Mystery Maze can still be escaped over one of the tree branches. I haven't yet figured out how to do it by myself, but can do it with a push. Its down one of the narrow hallways that end in a single tree branch blocking the outside.
Also, I have seen someone get pushed outside during the initial spawn (as all the tanks are dropping from the sky, one hits another). This was at the end of one of the large hallways where you've got the tree barriers.
Update : New escape route for Mystery Maze: Using the central jump pad, aim for the solo round room. If you aim right, you can drop into the gap between it and the rest of the complex. This is an easier escape than going over the branch.

Well I made afew changes and wanted to send it to u but I dont no how to email a mod, I'll be waiting.
Its now called FREAKY PLACE and the map name is Freaky Traps (the traps are buried boost and jump pads)

Well a few that I have made are very short, and colorfull, and only took a few FPS away (I averaged around 80-85 in the test server, and 75-80 with the emitter), so would some like that work? Oh, and I havent tried any objects yet, I have to figure out where to put in this dang registration code for Milkshape. :S %)

Soooooooo I want more fog an u help me out with that? If any1 knows how 2 plz tell me.. Also where do we send it again??? "survivor@planetthinktanks.com"? Well anyway is there a way that u could make it that custom weapons are in there cause I customize my explosions so they look kool with like paint and other programs any chance that I could just send them the files and put em in there tanks folder? They don't harm the game. And if u do use em they look wicked kool!

Well all I need is help with the fog can u just post the correct volume??? Here is what it looks like)))))

Six new maps are being added later on tonight after the Battlemode league stuff has finished. They are all 'on trial' and if problems are found with any of them, or people complain about any of them, those ones will be taken down until fixed or changed.

ACK -z- I am sending a fixed 1 (got complaints) but they said only lights can get in but I went trough the whole thing in a heavy... I fixed the startup glithc (whole in fence) so I am now sending u fixed copy. :)

Well, I've made a few changes so that Survivor doesnt show the names of those who get the survivor bonus to those who have the ChildSafe feature turned on.
I've also given Survivor a fresh set of mission files as opposed to the default TT ones. Currently in use are those made by Slugthog (which are used in his 'Clown Alley' server), and a nice one from Nathan. If you have any mis files you think would suit the game, then email them to me and I'll have a look. If it's a good map, I'll add it to the games random cycle.
Note: I will be stripping out any 'extra' code from the bottom of the mission file which relates to weapons, powerup changes, tank speeds and so forth.
Authors of maps are credited onscreen at the beginning of the game.
The more maps there are, the more variation there will be for the game :)
