I recently set up a mod on a dedicated server following instructions from this site, but I don't think anyone else can see it. I don't have any way to confirm this, but no one has ever come into the mod, and I've asked a couple of people who said they've never seen it. I am using a mac running osx tiger, and have a fully licensed version of thinktanks. The mod runs great for me, but I'd love to have others in the game as well. Can anyone help with this?

Btw, the server is called 'the colloseum. I'll leave it up for the next few days.

Perseus, are you using a router because that may be the problem. If so you need to port forward (i.e. Open prots through the router firewall) port numbers 28000 through to 28010 using UDP protocol. I can't tell you how to do this as all routers are different but check the manual or try this link may help PORT FORWARD.COM

Hope it helps

Thanks, dazzle. Would this also explain why I can't get into a lot of the servers on thinktanks?

Alright, I forwarded the ports. Can you see it now?

Tx, repent. My server is working fine now, except that it shows up twice on the server list. That may just be on my machine, but its kind of weirding me out.

When TT searches for games it does 2 searches. One from the master server that tells it where all the public games are. Then it does a second check on the LAN looking for local game. (This is why sometimes you see two entries for your own server in the games list.)

If a firewall is blocking port 28001 the server won't be seen on the mater server list.

The LAN game search only checks the local computers for games running on port 28000. So if there is a local server running on 28001, it won't see it on the LAN.
