This is truely wierd. I found a pest in a server "mikeruler(LUT)" who was talking about foul and vulgar things (things I can't mention on this forum), and so I put him on Ignore....several times...for some reason I can still see what he's saying even after I put him on my ignore list.

I tried taking him off and then putting him back on it again, just for the hell of it, but I can still see his trash.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Hmm.. Any additional info you can give me would help. If there is an issue, I'd like to fix it.

I've seen this when the turkeys use odd characters that don't show as part of their names, or extra spaces... It makes it hard to type their name right.

Did you directly enter the name, or did you use the "toggle through the names" method?

Also keep in mind the really old way to make a comment to come up as if some one else said it. I don't remember how it worked but you had to do something 20 or 25 times in a row. Then type and I could type something and it would come up as so and so said it instead of me. Ask Tally Ho, Bolo or Reagent X about it. I remember there was a big problem over this cheat code ! :(

The idiot I mentioned in my post was also doing that. He was making it seem as if other players were saying things. So apparently he knows the trick as well.

Well the name (as I typed above) had no unusal characters or spaces in it. I typed in the name directly (I don't know how to "toggle through the names") each time.

When I went into the RX server late last night I tested the ignore script (not that anyone was doing anything bad, I just wanted to test it in a different server) and it worked like it always has. 8(

I'll guess that the dingbat was using spaces either before or after their name to make it hard to type an ignore command that would work. I think some other characters don't show either, like %.

I use the ctrl-I method, and if you keep keying the "I", you toggle from name to name until you get the right player. (I think that key sequence is right, it may be slightly different)

It doesn't work with nameless rubes.

That happened too me b4 someone made me say nasty things and I dont know how 4 example " jordan **** his *****" and I was so angry! Thats why when you put mike on ignore it didnt work cus someone else was acting like it was him and making him say it! Dont you guys get it now? Its quite logical and simple.

You're saying he didn't really say those things, but someone else in the game did using the idea Lone brought up.

The way to check is to see if someone is always saying something immediately before the vulgarity. If you see this every single time, you know who the real culprit is:

If the Gubgub statements always appear at the same time as the Hardtack lines, then Gubgub is the one writing them, not Hardtack.

I know my Lutenant meaning (Mikeruler) didnt do it because he told me someone was making him say stuff on TT and he advized me so dont think that my lutenant is saying wrong nasty and bad things cuz he aint ;) Got it now?

Oh yeah btw this is what he told me... In UTs thread.

I have run into this jerk skoo with Red Seal last night. He is a real piece of work let em tell you. He/sh loves to say, "you like that !" or "how you like me now " if I remember right. I will have Red post tonight when he gets home from work to see if he remembers this jerk and his/her quotes that he/she repeated over and over until we tag team his punk butt and ran him/her off ! :(

Yup thats pretty close to what "it" was saying to Wolf. But he did run like a wuss when da Wolf decided to BM him back, I really didn't do that much other than block his punk atth!! He did not score after da Wolf got up in his grill, and when he left he pretty much looked well done.

1st mistake was picking Wolf out to Bm, second mistake was rubbing a goal in Wolfs face when Wolf wasn't really even trying to stop him, then taunted him, lol it was classic, and fun to watch a thorough biatch hoo smack down by da big bad Wolf.

I find the I key slightly annoying as I sometimes press it by an accident and the ignore box pops up middle of game. Just wondering wouldn't it be possible to move I to eg F4 with some sort bind code snippet? Otherwise very handy script.

To toggle thru the names with the ignore script
Hold ctrl and hit "I" repeatedly until the name you want pops up
then release to activate
