Asp in DW???? UGLY..net is the best for asp programming. DW the best for everything else but jsp. I was looking for any addon tools such as some sort of forum maker, etc. Maybe he coded it all, just asking...

Wtf is Dreamweaver®?

-z-

Actually its all self coded using a text editor and not a wysiwyg like DW. Cant stand DW or any of the others.

Lol dreamweaver....that would barely do a dent when dealing with php and mysql servers...

DW isnt designed for PHP or mysql. For what it is designed for it is good. Neither of these is very powerful anyway. Macromedia HOMESITE is great if you are doing everything in a text editor...color codes everything and closes tags automatically... I use it for html and cfml... Also good for editing asp and jsp for minor changes without having to fire up the whole project...nothing touches the power of asp.net and jsp. DW works with both of them but not well.....net 2003 (soon to be whidbey) is king right now but wont be as things always change...as far as databases are concerned. Harness the power of ado.net.... VERY powerful... Still us coldfusion for database stuff when I dont need to script too much. CF is great for database stuff but the script is javascript and not server side. For really complicated database driven websites, asp and jsp are king. Pl is awesome for efficiency though. +'s and -'s for all I guess...

I originally wanted to see what 3rd party products were used.. Obvoiusly -z- is hard coding traditional asp. Never mind then...

Sam, please don't bump up pages that are over a year old from now on...in fact, don't bump pages that are over a month old, at the least.

Let the old threads die, will you?

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
