Also xfire and teamspeak
I use TeamSpeak.
Yes, but those are for PC (Linux?) only. This one's for all platforms.
(Note: I noticed you can't do text chat and file transfers with Gizmo yet. Hope they will implement that later on. As far as sound quality goes, it is crystal clear, possibly exceeding that of Skype's.)

Hi. I just stumbled by this new and free application for doing voice communication and text chat. It's available for Mac, PC and Linux and it looks real cool.
I've been using Skype for this purpose before, but this app seems to be much better than Skype. It has many nice extra features on top of those of Skype's. For instance, you can jusr press a record button and the current conversation will be recorded and it shows the name of the one you're talking to plus the time for the conversation in the resulting file. Which means, for instance, no more boss denying the fact that he raised your salary when talking to him the last Friday evening on voice chat. You've got proof!
It also sport some other very neat functions that neither Skype, Yahoo! Or anyone of the others have.
Check it out at:

The app is called Gizmo Project.
