If you were REALLY a geek, you wouldn't be asking us about Modwizard. :P
Before MAX can yell at you, check out the Modding Resource or the Modwizard instructions .
If you still can't figure it out, then...
MAC
Select your ThinkTanks application and control+click it. Select "Show Package Contents." Navigate Contents>Resources>game and there will be a file there called "main.cs". Control+click it and select "Open With..." Navigate to Applications>Textedit.
PC
Go to C:/Program Files/Bravetree/ThinkTanks/contents/resources/game/ and find the Main.cs file. Right+click it and select Open with...and choose either WordPad or Notepad.
Hope this helps!
Thank u... And I am not quite a textbook geek... But u should see the ship I made for gem and I to escape the apocolypse. Its rad. If I knew how to get an image in here, I would show u... Have u ever heard of maya?
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.
Yup, I fooled around with Maya for a while but I couldn't make head nor tail of anything. I think I created a sphere and a triangle, but that was because I had pushed the "make sphere" and "make triangle" buttons. O.o
You post images by uploading them to different sites like Xs.to or Imageshack . For Xs.to, upload the file and click on the link when it is done. Right+click on your picture and select "Show in another window" then copy the URL and post something like:
[ img] h ttp://xs18.xs.to/pics/05091/LushSig.png [ /img]
Where your image would be between the image tags (there is no space in the image tags, but it won't let me post exactly what to post without displaying the picture O.o).
For imageshack, upload the image and select the code which has the [ img] tags, then simply paste it into the comment box.
If you can work really well with Maya, you can download a dts plug in that will allow you to create and edit new tanks for ThinkTanks!

Here is a link to another thread from a few days ago.
MAX's ModWiz directions
Or better yet here is the post....

Download instructions" for ModWizard 1.3
_____________________________________________________________________________
Goto the heading "Files" in the column on the left side of this web site.
Select "Utilities" form under the heading "Files" in the column on the left side of this web site.
On the "Utilities" page select "ModWizard 1.3 (-z)"
On the "ModWizard 1.3 (-z)" page select 6) "Download"
On the 6) "Download"
page select either:
"Download ModWizard 1.3 for PC"
"Download ModWizard 1.3 for Mac"
You should now have a folder named either mw13-pc
or mw13-mac
depending on the one you selected above.

_____________________________________________________________________________
Installation Instructions" for ModWizard 1.3
_____________________________________________________________________________
So, you have a folder named mw13-pc
or mw13-mac
which you just downloaded
from PTT
.
In that folder you will find 4 folders named:
client
help
ReadMe
server
Now put that folder somewhere good. Like in your Modding folder or wherever you are keeping all your Modding stuff.
Make a duplicate of the mw13-pc
or mw13-mac
folder. So, now you have 2. The second one is going to be moved to the ThinkTanks Game.
_____________________________________________________________________________
I don't know where you keep your ThinkTanks Game game so you will have to find it yourself.
by default:
WIN - c:/Program Files/BraveTree/ThinkTanks/
WIN - c:/Program Files/Shockwave/ThinkTanks/game
MAC -HardDrive/Applications/Games/ThinkTanks
or where ever yo u put it.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Find the game folder
WIN - In the ThinkTanks folder is a folder named "game"
ThinkTanks/game
ThinkTanks/game
MAC - Control+Click the "ThinkTanks" icon and select
Show Package Contents In list view select "Contents" then "Resources" then "game".
ThinkTanks/Contents/Resources/game/
_____________________________________________________________________________
In the "game" folder you will find other folders: "client", "data", and "server".
"client" - /game/client
"data" - /game/data
"server" - /game/server
_____________________________________________________________________________
Now the installation instructions for ModWizard 1.3
clearly state that you are to put copies of the contents of the folders from the mw13-pc
or mw13-mac
folder into the corresponding folders of the ThinkTanks Game.
mw13-pc or mw13-mac folder contents: ------>
The contents of the "help" folder of the mw13-pc
or mw13-mac
folder need to go into the "help" folder of the game.
mw13-pc
or mw13-mac
/help/ ------> /game/client/help/
The contents of the "client" folder of the mw13-pc
or mw13-mac
folder need to go into the "scripts" folder in the "client" folder of the game.
mw13-pc
or mw13-mac
/client/ ------> /game/client/scripts/
The contents of the "server" folder of the mw13-pc
or mw13-mac
folder need to go into the "scripts" folder in the "server" folder of the game.
mw13-pc
or mw13-mac
/server/ ------> /game/server/scripts/
mw13-pc or mw13-mac /ReadMe/ -This is the actual read me for ModWizard 1.3 and since this is a copy you can delete it. Remember where the original is because you will want to refer to it until you have memorized the key commands. You may even want to print it.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Now you need to tell the ThinkTanks Game to use ModWizard 1.3
.
We do this by creating an executable command. "exec"
WIN - In the ThinkTanks folder below the "game" folder is a file named "main.cs".
ThinkTanks/main.cs
MAC - Control+Click the "ThinkTanks" icon and select
Show Package Contents In list view select "Contents" then "Resources" then "main.cs".
MAC -ThinkTanks/Contents/Resources/main.cs
Open the "main.cs" using the text editor program. (Wordpad for WIN and Text Edit for MAC) .
At the very bottom of main.cs file, add the following lines from: Installing ModWizard:
EXAMPLE: DO NOT USE THIS CODE IT IS MISSING CHARACTERS DUE TO WEB FORMATTING
// ModWizard
exec("game/server/scripts/ModWizardMain.cs");
if (!$Server::Dedicated) {
moveMap.bindCmd(keyboard, "m", "", "exec("game/client/scripts/ModWizardBindings.cs");");
}
EXAMPLE: DO NOT USE THIS CODE IT IS MISSING CHARACTERS DUE TO WEB FORMATTING
Make sure there is one space between this text and the last line already there which should be a bracket "}".
The text of the main.cs should be readable and not complete gibberish. Like this..."Q4*.04PDADFNU:CND$NC"
At this point I'm being redundant with the installation instructions for ModWizard 1.3

I did that and I am wearing out the "m" key on my laptop. It still doesn't do anything in the server
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.
If you followed those direction exactly, then there is no reason why it would not work.
The other 3 hundred people managed it.
Did you actually recheck that you did it right?
Are you sure you put the right things in the client
and server
folders?
/game/server /scripts/ModWizardMain.cs.dso
/game/client
/scripts/ModWizardBindings.cs.dso
/game/client
/scripts/ModWizardPrefs.cs
/game/client
/help/8.hfl
/game/client
/help/9.hfl
/game/client
/help/magiworks.png
/game/client
/help/modwizard.png
/game/client
/help/mwtitle.png
/game/client
/help/Thumbs.db
Dead positive
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.
But then again... I'm just naturally unlucky... I always get the messed up computer or in this cse, the game... I WANT MY MONEY BACK
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.
Do not use this, because this is wrong code. The 'm' key won't work.
// ModWizard exec("game/server/scripts/ModWizardMain.cs"); if (!$Server::Dedicated) { moveMap.bindCmd(keyboard, "m", "", "exec("game/client/scripts/ModWizardBindings.cs");"); }
Get the code from here: the original ModWizard tutorial
You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
GDI that got left out again thanks Triv. I corrected it.
Well anyhow I have exhausted all of my resources for dummying down those directions.
I think this dude gave up anyhow.
Can't say that I am "proud" of the "gaminggeek' when he gives up just figuring out how to install the modwiz.
Since when does luck have anything to do with computers or code?
LOL
aw shucks! I lost against Microsoft XP again... Maybe it just has a better memory than me.
or
damn! Unlucky guess maybe I should have clicked the blue text in the web browser.
or
Man! No matter how man times I throw it, I just can't get the mouse curser to land where I want.

By the way max... I am still trying. And out of the 289 games I have bought, 143 of them either haven't worked or had been tampered with. Some even made a portal to a porn website once (that was interesting trying to explain to the parents). I have been testing with just moving the objects wround via the code cordinates themselves, but its not that effective, and sometimes the game just kinda shuts down... I dunno. I would epriciate it very much if u didn't go making assumptions 'bout me though. On a brighter note, GEM might be coming over on friday to help me out of this, so I can get some p/p advice.

Glad to hear you didn't give up, but with comments like "I WANT MY MONEY BACK". It's a tad misleading.
I also use a MAC.
So where do you get those "tampered games" that go to porn sites... Sounds fun. : P
How can 49% the games you buy, not work or be tampered with?
I have been gaming on MACs for 15 years and have more games than I want to bother to count for both OS9 and OSX. Not including the dozens MacMAME emulations. I have never in all my life known a game not to work or be tampered with especially the ones I buy.
Unless you were trying to Mod them and through you ignorance and have broke them.
Did you do what TRIV said? He is 100% right the code in the forums is altered by the web formating and removes symbols. I had left that out.
If the files are in the right place and the correct text in on the bottom of the main.cs then it has to work.
If you can't get ModWiz to work after this then maybe you should give up. Because moving things in the.mis will take you weeks to do what you could do in ModWiz in minutes. If you can't understand this basic of all basic installations then you will never understand the other stuff, because it just gets more complicated.
If you cant change a tire don't mess with the motor.

Most of the games I have bought are for pc, so this is actually the first mac one I actuall bought. And before think tanks, I didn't know it was leagal to mod games. Before a year ago, I was actally technologicly challenged. Then I started to reallt like computers and other stuff. Oh... And the comment "I want my money back"... Yeah, that was... Anyway, the one that took me to the porn site I actually didn't buy. It was the legos game that u can win from the cheez-its box a while back.
Anyway, like I said, GEM is coming over to check, so there he'll probly find out if I messed up or not. In the meantime, I'm just going to leave it be. Luckily I made copies of think tanks before I started exparimenting, so its all good. One I somehow made medulla mese'. Ground made of volcanic rocks that keep regenerating... Still not sure how I did that...
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.
Lol two things......Cheez-its rule anndd since when do they have contests (one thing)
Second thing good job not giving up there cause when my dad and I worked on it....it was living h***
Thanks, and yes, cheez-its do rule, but the lego island game I got took me a... Er... A site where people express they're feeling for animals. ::shudders:: unfortunatly, my parents came home at that minute... It was interesting.
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.
Page : <1> :
For the modwizard, the I can't find ThinkTanks/main.cs... I AM REALLY CONFUSED HERE. Maybe I am just that kinda person... That can't really do anything right... Sniff :( ::smack:: ow... Any way, HELP!!!!!
