I have an adea that will get rid of people killing you while your talking. I am not 100% sure that this is possible but I would need a scripter to do this and send it out to everyones servers. This is my idea. We can script the game so that whenever you have the talking box open and ready for you to type in it. The game puts an invisible barrier around your tank so tat you will take no damage from any shots fired. This way while it is open you can't die so no more talk kills. What do you guys think. And is this possible?

You could give the tank a massive armorscale while talking.................... Somehow.

But it would give an unfair advantage to some players because you can hold down forward while typing.

Yea, its pretty easy to change tank to a undestroyable one while the thing is open, even if it would need a client side script, as a server sided one but I wont do it, cos of problem stated above :)

People would have their text boxes open while they're playin'. It'd create more problems than it's worth.

Imagine this: Some guy comes to a game and puts the chat box open and some people shoot at the guy but doesn't die! Other people will start panicing and say "Ahhhhhh - DIEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and the guy with the chat box open says "Muahahahahahaha, infedels! You cannot defeat me you weaklings" :P

I think that if you want to chat enough that you need a chat shield, you should get on IM or something.

NEVA DIE I don't think you can shoot while in chat box. But I am sure it could also be made so you can't do anything while it is open but chat.

DJ, some people don't have a micro phone to talk on teamspeak, and many players don't want to bother with signing on there whenever they go into a game.

Tally Ho, what if you have to tell something when your about to go fight someone and it would be annoying if you were telling them somethign liek this and to have a guy spawn behind you and blast you.

I dont think this would work vic.....too many problems

Lol, I am sure there would be ways to make you die from that though.

Delta, I am suprised you have never heard of teamspeak, you need a mic to do it and you log into a chat room by using an IP adress that someone has made the chatroom with. Then anyone with knowledge of the IP adress as long as it is not passworded can talk in real time with a with there mouth. Good for when your having a war.

^ Ahh OK - I had heard of it but didnt know what it involved. This would be how the guys are talking on the Leyroy Jenkins WoW movie? How does it effect the speed of your connection - ie would it increase my already shitty ping?

How about if you move while youre talking it kills you? ;)
