There have not been any Shockwave servers listed the last 2 days (or more? I had been gone for 6 days)
Only private/mod servers up.

I was never a Demo.
Even with the shockwave servers up the player base has not seen a remarkable growth of any kind.
The Demo version is a farce because these people who use it have figured a way to become light tanks without buying the full version. So they have no reason to really spend the money, they don't mod or skin or anything else that they would need the full version for. So they cheat the system and play as Demos for as long as they want.
So the question is why have shockwave servers? I understand people in countries other then the USA have less lag in them, but I have seen many of those same people in the private servers more then I have seen them in the shockwave servers. So there connections must be good enough at those times. So that excuse doesn't fly as a reason to have shockwave servers up. The only way to increase the player base is to fix the problem with the Demos being able to always play as Demos. What ever happened to the one hour Demo? I can't remember but I thought when I first got the game Demos was aloud one hour as a heavey tank and then had to purchase the game to continue. Am I mistaken?

GQ- it depends on where you got the demo. The hour time limit is the SW demo.

I got the demo from BraveTree. It allowed me to play for as long as I wanted, but only for about 5 minutes at a time. After 5 minutes, you get kicked back to the startup screen (where you can choose servers). I also got to see ads encouraging me to buy the full version. You also cannot join most servers other than SW.

I didn't know it was possible to become a light demo for a long time. I used the demo for quite a while, then bought the full version. Some people were like me, and played demo for months, then finally bought it. I think more people paid sooner than I did. Unfortunately, it appears that most longtime demos are only here to be a pain.

I'm just wondering (after so long) why SW servers are still out.

They're not, and something tells me this is permanent.

Wow... Feels weird without the army of Shockwave servers staring at you.

Yeah this sucks

Bring em back. Banlist pings 354 for me, SW pinged 270 ish (which I find playable)

GQ you are wrong. I dont know why but SW are always fastest for me.
I paid good money for this game. WTF

Well you can play online or download the demo. Seems they worked around having to use the demo to sell the game.

SquidRing,
I was talking about the Demos.
Shockwave needs to have dedicated servers just for Demos, and have stock servers for paid subscribers. They should seperate the Demos from there paid members. IMO
