WELCOME TO SUNSET RIDGE!

Welcome to Sunset Ridge. Sunset Ridge is home to age old ruins by the Tankers civilization. This is now a battle site, and construction is underway. I am constantly adding new ruins and files included with this mod. When you enter the server, it may appear it is stuck on "Loading Objects", but it is simply downloading you the proper files. When you log on after this, the load will be much faster.

You may also come across new files in your thinktanks folder, but don't be alarmed, they store there so your next load time is much shorter. If you need the hard drive space, or just don't like them, any files in the Thinktanks/Game/Data/Shapes/Custom folder are safe to delete. All files from any mods I make will be stored there. (Except for skies, which are stored in the skies folder, I am thinking of changing this.)

When this mod is complete, I will release a zip file containing the necessary files for this mod. Great if you are on dialup and don't have time to wait 15 minutes for the server to load. High speed internet users will be able to join much faster, usually under one minute if you haven't been here yet.

So if you haven't seen Sunset Ridge yet, be sure to check it out next time it's in the lobby!

Please post any questions, comments, feedback, and suggestions! ;)

Lol, 187 and he learned how to make nw objects from whatever and make them TT objects. Kinda cool, and it makes modding a different thing entirely, this could be used to make near infinite new weapons, maps, skies, terrains, anything u want... I THINK ITS AWESOME!!

I don't really have anything else yet Paco...... But I am working hard on this mod, trying to work out some texturing glitches right now, hopefully I can get updates comin at least daily soon.

If you have any good DTS files made, send em in. I will also accept.3DS files, 3ds max scene files, and.ms3D files. I am able to turn those (and others, I'm quite sure) into the proper format.

You will get full credit for the objects. So if you have some to show off, feel free! Make sure they suit the level though, and are no more than 500 polys, or 1 MB, whichever comes first. (DTS files are tiny, it's the texture that's huge)

Saturday, March 20, 2004 at 1:35:25 AM

187 Nathan AND me know how. I can convert them for you and possibly lower the poly count too.......

We use Milkshape, not free, but easy to crack to get it forever. I forget the name, but just delete a certain dll file and you have it forever.

That generator looks awesome, I may not use it for this map, but maybe on another one. City level perhaps.

Also, I go by size really, not poly count, I may put directions of what folder to place the file so you can download it here first. Cut down on transfer.

Thanks again for the file!

I wish you could remember, my trial ran out, so I cant save. :( BTW, nice generator gkid.

Good thinking. I forgot to mention you can't drive on objects.

About cracking Milkshape, in your System32 folder, there is a file named msvcrt.dll. Don't delete it, just drag it out cause you mess something up, you are gonna want it back.

I seem to be having trouble texturing after this, so I'm warning ya!

Sunday, March 21, 2004 at 5:11:20 PM

Meh, I have rhino no biggie if it messes up. XD

Sunday, March 21, 2004 at 7:23:13 PM

The closest thing I have to that is MSVCP60.dll, no msvcrt.dll. But was I supposed to look in the milkshape folder, or the system32 folder? %)

Sunday, March 21, 2004 at 7:27:19 PM

Ok, good wont be needing my last post then....

Monday, March 22, 2004 at 6:44:48 PM

Do tell, if you like my e-mail is in my profile. XD

Monday, March 22, 2004 at 6:49:51 PM

You are supposed to go into the system32 folder, located at C:/windows/system32...... That's what I said in the instructions.

Monday, March 22, 2004 at 9:54:36 PM

Does it have to be one that is not expired already, because mine is and it didnt work. :(

Monday, March 22, 2004 at 11:20:29 PM

Doesn't matter. Hmmm, it worked for me. Are you sure you removed the dll named that? Because there is another one, of another file type.

Monday, March 22, 2004 at 11:23:47 PM

This is the exact name : "msvcrt.dll"

Monday, March 22, 2004 at 11:25:50 PM

Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at 11:40:57 PM

Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at 11:43:19 PM

Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at 8:37:32 PM

Find an internet terms encyclopedia. Maybe it will help you stop spamming the entire forum. Just look on the last post area, it's horrible.

Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at 11:29:24 PM

WHAT ARE U TLAKIN ABOUT!?! OH AND WHAT IS SPAM???

Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 10:02:37 AM

Hey guys! I was just wondering how do you make it so that other people download the files? If you place it in there, will they automatically download it? Or do you have to have some scripting?

Thanks, and great modding Nathan and gkid!

Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 11:29:30 AM

It obviously isn't, because Nathan has some stuffz on his mod.

Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 12:03:14 PM

I think we would all like to know, and no it isnt TI exclusive, Ish, Nathan, and 187 all had it. Oh, and KBC also had it, his sky was different.

Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 7:17:15 PM

You don't need a script to do skies.

Friday, March 26, 2004 at 4:09:15 PM

No script for skies......tsk tsk tsk Mark [Bot] knows, and it isnt that hard except I dont know how 8(

Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 12:59:41 AM

You DON'T need one for skies, just make the new image files, write a new DML file, and load it up in the mis. There ya go.

Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 8:29:29 PM

NO not that! Mark knows how to let other players download new objects

Sunday, March 28, 2004 at 12:34:01 PM

Sunday, March 28, 2004 at 5:48:20 PM

This is all I'm getting, Nate:

What did I do wrong? I put the sky as a.dml file and everything!

[edit] The name of my.mis file is DOWNLOADING, just to let you know. [/edit]
