I caught myself saying this one today :P
Spelling is for noobs, unfortunally they don't know how to spell either....
One I use - especially at work is....
"You can't polish a turd but you can paint it gold"
I use this alot: "hard tellin', not knowin'". Excellent answer to any question. While the asker is thinking about that reply, you have time to walk away. My wife no longer accepts that answer, though.
As for it being a quote, I don't know it's origin. Picked it up from an old boss of mine, "JP" aka "Johnny Rotten".
"It always turns out how it ends up"
"Life is measured in belly laughs."
"Pay it forward."
I have two:
One from Kurt Vonnegut. In the introduction to Mother Night he writes, 'This is the only novel I have written in which I knew the moral before I finished it - You are what you pretend to be - So, be careful what you pretend to be."
The second cannot be invoked unless you know Sartre & Camus and have left forty well behind. It is from my favorite existential, R. Crumb's Mr. Natural, who when asked, "What do it all mean, Mr Natural?", responds from the depth of his psyche. "It don't mean shit."

"There is a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path" Morpheus
"Some people think Great God will come down from the sky,
Take away everything and make everybody feel high.
But if you know what Life is worth, you will look for Yours on Earth.
So now that you see the Light, Stand Up for your Right! Ja!"
-Bob Marley
Now what we got here is a failure to communicate.
—Cool Hand Luke
The other quote I live by is:
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.
—Leslie Nielson
OK, one more:
He still digs humanity, but it bothers Him to see the crap that gets carried out in His name - wars, bigotry, but especially the factioning of all the religions. He said humanity took a good idea and, like always, built a belief structure on it.
—Rufus,
Dogma
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.
Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Sure this has been done before. (or something similair)
When you have a descion to make or a situation to deal with, Do you have some quotes or saying that you go by or help you? The ones I find myself repeating most often are "all men die, few really live", yes, from Braveheart. The other is a take off of, do onto others as you would have done onto you, or "what comes around, goes around- Round and round". A song from Ratt actually.
Yours?
