Just wanna know if it runs on 10.4....

I had installed GIMP a few months ago to see that it worked perfectly without any problems, but when I went to open it a couple days ago it didn't open. Does it run on 10.4 (Os X)? I tried re-installing both X11 and GIMP and when I went to install X11 I couldn't choose my HD directory because "more current software already exists". I liked GIMP and used it alot for school. Help please?
