It has been frustrating over the last seeing my system crash whilst playing TT. Initially I thought that someone had tampered with my machine, so I re-installed Linux, but after it happened a few times more I thought that there had to be another problem. My Xandros O/S has been very reliable, so after much testing I noticed that the fan in the video card was faulty along with the actual video card itself. So this evening my Linux machine is getting a new organ... A NVIDIA 6600 XT card, which will deliver enough power to make life easier. I initially thought about a Radeon video card however not all are supported in Linux, as far as I am aware, also NVIDIA drivers are automatically detected by Xandros.
By tommorrow afternoon, with some luck, I will be up and running again.
If you have seen me in a server over the last few days, and noticed me disappear all of the sudden, then you now know why.
