Lol Palm, Filbert lives in the prudish right wing of the forum, he about blew a vein out in his head in the Boobs thread, then he proceeded to attack me in another thread... I am just tired of his stuffy self riteous bs..... So I thought if I start another thread named after another (according to Dilbert "R" rated topic) that maybe his head would finally blow off and he would leave me alone....

Well, There's just some people who just don't feel comfortable yet with those types of topics ( I know it took me some time to get used to it since I'm a Christian (and we tipically don't mature as quickly in those areas like other people do))

TG, I never had an additude on these forums lately! I have been expressing my views just like everyone! That is what makes this forum and game special above others--that we CAN do that... What I was trying to say before was not that it was good to judge people, what I was saying is that a value is essentially a judgement against something, but not someone! If you chose to take my value judgements against your ideas as a atack against you, I can't stop you. I tried, however, in my VERY FIRST post on the BooBs thread, saying that I normally liked you in your threads, and as a person. So I never attacked you. I tried to tell you that I liked you...just not your post. So it is not my fault you took it as a personal afront.

Next, you did not get angry when I replied in your first thread, you got angry when you spammed MY THREAD, and people said you shouldn't. The fact that you can sit here and say that I shouldn't reply to your threads, when the reason you are angry is that people criticized you when you spammed mine is very hipocritical.

I am for locking this thread too. I don't like contreversy, and I want this to end.

I am still your firend TG, and am extending a hand for you to shake, it is up to you to take it or not.

@ Asterisk- Oh, come on now. I was just kidding, obviously. I think most everyone saw that. I seriously hope you didn't think I was actually going to start a thread like that, did you? If you did, you don't know me at all. That said, I understand some of TG's frustration with Fil, and I can also see your point of view. You are correct that we don't need any flame wars.

The simple truth is, both TG and Fil are right because they're expressing opinions. However, you have to admit that Filbert was one of very few people that were offended by TG's Boobs thread. Do you think threads should be locked because of one (or two) lone voices? I certainly don't. What kind of forum would this be if one person out of hundreds complains and gets their way. Fil really didn't need to come into that thread, any more than I need to read any of his threads. I happen to think there are lots of threads here that are annoying and such, but you don't see me bitching in them, do you? Everyone just needs to calm down if you ask me.

I believe the thread was left open to give you guys a chance to work it out. It doesn't solve anything to make a statement, and then immediately end the conversation without permitting a counter-point. The "thread-locker" would appear to be siding with one person or the other depending on who was allowed to get the last word in.

Look, first and foremost, I think it's silly to enter a thread with an obviously risque title and then complain about the content. I think most everyone here feels the same. However, I don't think it is out-of-line for the person who created the thread to request that visitors should stay on-topic. If you post something funny, and the thread-originator expresses a bit of heartburn over it, then simply pull the joke and go elsewhere.

There is no way that everyone will agree on what is considered "too much" in these forums. Just consider the mentality of the person who started it and work from there. -z- shouldn't have to deal with such things.

Look.. Simply put, the BooBs thread was not locked because there is nothing within it that warrants a lock. Its is not vulgar or purely adult content. Sure, it may be dealing with an adult subject but guess what.. A large portion of the community are adult - particularly out of those who have donated to keep this site up and running. Compared to chat within the game, what you see on TV and listen to on the radio, I thought the BooBs thread wasnt even worthy of a PG rating.

Even if there are 5 unspoken voices for every one that takes a stand, thats still a serious minority, and by voice your objection, you are just inviting the subject you are objecting to, to become front page news. If you don't like the content of a thread, ignore it. If there is something posted anywhere on the forums that is unmistakably adult content then email me or one of the other mods and we will delete it immediately if it is deemed to be innapropriate.

With the possible exception of TG posting some photographs of herself to back up her case in the other thread, I think everyone here agrees that pictures or posts bordering on pornographic are innapropriate, as is excessive swearing i.m.o.

I don't like to have to lock threads, I'd rather let people have their say and argue their point if need be (rather than have a whole load of new threads opening up to continue the argument) If you find a topic not to your liking, dont post, dont help it stay at the top of page 1 on the forum index, just hope that it drifts casually away.

This may be a board for all ages, but that should not mean that we all have to stick to topics about the game or about kids toys. I am also (after consideration) opposed to the idea of adding any form of age classification or 'adult content' options to this site to keep young eyes out as I only feel that that would invite more inappropriate adult content when none is really needed.

So yeah, I believe you have all had your say here, and will now lock it as there is little reason to keep it open.
