Rains no big deal, we GET that 147 days of the year.
But, looks like you live like waay out in the sticks.
on weekends do you go off up into the hills and drink moonshine? Mebbe a bit of hustling at some backcountry ranch or the nearest truckstop?
Correct me if im wrong but do you go "gahyuck, gahyuck" at random intervals in the conversation?

Took me 30 sec to dowload. Not long.
Pretty cool
Looks like South Mountain Park. Nice photos.
Nice pics, fujirelli. I live in Auburn, NY where crow poop falls like rain. National Geographic even did a special on it! I've been trying to get some good pics to show y'all, but they mostly congregate at dawn and dusk, not good light for my camera. Our small city is a roosting destination for literally hundreds of thousands of crows. I live downtown, and my truck is one of their favorite targets.
BTW, how long have you been tring to figure out why you live in AZ? :P

^lol
Here in north carolina, the only weird thing to note is that instead of in the winter, snow falls in the summer half the time.
It IS south mountain park, lol. I literally live IN the park. As you can see, the last two pics are taken basically from my front yard.
@ bloop, call it what you want, but Phoenix, Arizona is the 5th largest city in the U.S. Of A., my good friend. Just to top it off, South Mountain Park also happens to be the worlds largest city-park. So if where I live is the sticks to you, I'd hate to see what the city looks like :P

Good call KBC. When I lived in Tempe I used to ride my motorcycle to the top of South Mountain and coast back down in neutral with the engine off. There used to be commercial flower gardens along Baseline road and orange tree orchards on my route that perfumed the desert.
^Sounds great! I really like that park. Feels like you're miles away from the city, but you can look down and Phoenix is right there.
Gotta love the Saguaros. :)
Heres a picture of me in my backyard with some delicious McDonald's fries

Lol I love posting huge pics XD
I love my randylion
^^ Lmao!!
Hey «ujiilm»SA, you do shake out your shoes before putting them on, right?
Actually, we hang them upside-down in the closet, and many a time we have caught some pretty good specimens about the house :S not only that, but javelinas like to visit our neigborhood from time to time. My neighbor literally got broken into by some of them once, then simply jumped in through the low window, shattering it to peices.
they ventured about the house and they literally watched helplessly while they ripped apart their furniture until they decided to leave. Vicious little things X/ coyotes like to roam the streets, stealing small children (jk) but they do give us a scare from time to time, lol B)

Oooooooohhhh yeeeaaaaahhhh :)

I saw some kind of small stubtail wildcat along the South Mountain road that goes from the top around to the communication towers. It's the only place in Arizona I ever saw one.
I'm afraid of the javelinas too but at least you can smell them coming. :S
Hmm... Never heard of javelinas, so I had to look them up.
I hate wild pig-like things... Especially if they have those tusklike things.
Here we worry more about
I love the desert blooms. Nice splash of color, and it seems to happen overnight...
^Yikes! No thanks to cats that are larger than me.
Scorpions are just tiny little buggers about 2 inches long, but the photos always make them seem like a foot long monster. They're more annoying than anything but it's still very unpleasant to find them. They seem to be able to get in your house through the insanely tiniest crack, and you always stumble across one when you least expect it.
I've never seen a wild javelina. I didn't know there were any that close to the city. The photo of the bobcat is from my parents place south of Tucson.

Download the pictures I took here . Seriously. Do it. They will blow you away. Theyre big, but theyre worth the possibly long download. :) It almost never rains here, but when it does, it is DEFINITELY worth the 147 day wait.
