I have a a partial IP address ban script.

Just add the first two octets of a players IP and averyone within that subnet will be banned!

For example; (I made these up)

Annoying AssMunch|123.44.*.*
Scrummy ButtWhad|11.74.*.*
Special Ed's rejects|11.74.*.*
everyone starting with
123.44
11.74
11.74
WILL BE BANNED!

What about the other that fall in that range? Well theres an exemtion. I mean an exemtion list!
Add
HotChickyPlayer|123.44.11.33 (her actual IP address)
StandupGuy|11.74.56.213 (his actual IP address)
Special Edward|11.74.91.223 (it's actual IP address)
.........AND THEIR IN!

I'm easy to ban racer. You all have complicated IPs. I can't handle that many numbers. My IP is just a 1.

Easy- I just reset my router. But if it happens, it's usually an accident/ power outage. I don't change it on purpose.

This script was written specifically to combat re-setting routers, cycling DSL/Cable modems, etc.

The "kick ass" factor is quite high with this script.

Anyways, if I remember well you can do that with ANY script.. ~(Remember I'm getting rusty lol)
Instead of 123.45.*.* I think it was 123.45.*
That would range any IP beginning with 123.45. :)
The thing about not banning some IPs is not included in the code, and congrats for who made this :)

PS: If BT is reading this (wich I doubt), why dont you put some sorta code in TT that sends the server like a stroke MADE OF the serial key they used to install? (It wouldnt send the exact serial number)
Halo uses that too... Its a great way to find cracked copies of TT!
We could also use that, like to ban "serial strokes"... And, as if we didnt buy the game again they wouldnt change, they'd be MUCH better than IP bans :)

So, this would mean 2 things, more profit for BT (no more cracked versions) and better ban system :)

Oh and to avoid keygens, make TT verify in the server if the key is valid (remove offline registration or something)

It can work that way as well
you can put the * anywhere, the script compares the part of the ip address to the left of the *
so you can put it here:

10.20.30.*

Or here

10.*

It all works the same while still banning whole ip's like this

10.20.30.40

I would not bet the farm on it. I put my trust in him, and all I have to show for it is a script that doesn't work.
