Back in 1995-96 (can't remember for sure), my wife and I were living in San Antonio, TX. While we were out one weekend, we stopped at a local shopping center where they were having try outs for the Olympic bobsled team. The task was simple. Push the sled as fast as you could the distance of the official starting distance.

I gave it my best shot, but sadly, I failed to qualify. Still, it was really exciting to even be that close to being in the Olympics and I'm so thankful that I had least had some sort of shot that day to be a Olympian.

Lol. That is totally sweet, actually. I have never gotten a chance like that, but I am hoping that I can get my single axel in figure skating, move through my doubles in about four months, and then have about a year to get my double axel. THEN, I will work on all my tripple jumps for the next two years. If all goes right, I should have about four remaining months to get my triple axel and qualify for the 2010 olympics! Long shot, but I have prayers!

Rabban- If you ever get a chance like that again, try to do a head dive into the bobsled XD

Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

You lived in SA? When did you leave?

Pray to GOD for him to reveal himself to you.

Jacob, we where there from '95 to '98. Though it was terribly hot and humid, there are some things we miss. I loved the AMC 24! The Mrs misses the craft stores and easy shopping. The Frio River was fun and we had season passes to Sea World (which rocked!).

Lol.. Thats cool Rabban. XD I reckon you would have done better than brazil in the bobsled.

I used to follow the Spurs when NBA used to be shown here in Australia.
For some reason it died right off when Jordan quit........

David Robinson, and Sean Elliott were my sporting heros.
