I purposely left FireFox out because I can't tell if it has spell checking or not or if it is just promised in a later version.
FireFox Version 1.4.2 has spellchecking , but what version is actually available is unclear. Mostly because the entire world seems to be Moding it.
We all need a little spellchecking and the correct spelling is only a right click away. Why not have that option?

For FireFox: http://spellbound.sourceforge.net/
Get the Google toolbar, pop-up blocker + spell checker for IE. :)
There are other options:
1) Learn to spell. ;)
2) Re-read your posts before hitting the submit button, looking for spelling or grammar errors. :P
Of course, I'm in the situation where because it's easy for me, I have trouble understanding how it can be difficult for anyone else.

Because I have been using Safari for Mac, I had not realized that other internet browsers did not have spell checking capabilities.
No wonder so many posters have atrocious spelling (atrocious: a word I could not spell without spellchecking)
In safari the misspelled word is underlined in red and all you have to do is right click it to get a list of spelling choices.
Much like all other text programs like Microsoft word.

If you are using WIN and still using IE then here is link that you all need to have.
ieSpell v2.1.1 (build 325) for Internet Explorer and other IE based browsers
ieSpell v1.0.0 (build 429) originally released! 6/26/2002.
This plug-in can't correct grammar, though... That would be nice

If you are using MAC and still using IE then you should be flogged. Use Safari
If it's because you don't know how to import bookmarks from IE then it's because you don't know about the Debug Menu
To activate the Debug Menu Type the following command in Terminal (while Safari is NOT running):
% defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1
When you open safari again you will have a new menu option... Debug
In that new Debug Menu you will find like 20 new options and settings for safari. Including import bookmarks
But...
The best thing to do is, download Cocktail . A utility which can turn on the Safari Debug Menu for you, as well as a ton of other stuff.
Cocktail is a general purpose utility for Mac OS X. The application serves up a scrumptious mix of maintenance tools and interface tweaks, all accessible via a comprehensive graphical interface and toolset. It is a smooth and powerful utility that simplifies the use of advanced UNIX functions.
