Hi All,

I think that it is rather funny, that lately I must get at least two or three e-mails per week from maybe just one individual (with many Yahoo/Hotmail Accounts) or a few different individuals, threatening to (a) blow up my house (b) rape me (c) torture me (d) blow me up (e) kill me etc etc.

I know that these people do play TT, because of the references that they make.

It is quite sad that someone would waste part of their day collaborating such a scheme. I didn't know that I had such an impact on some of you.

I am hoping that if you are one of those individuals, that behind my tank is a young lady with feelings. Whitlst I do make a presence when I play TT, at the end of the day it is only a game. If you want to get better at this game, and put me in my place out there in the battlefield, then I suggest that you practice, and get someone who is willing to teach you, rather than carry out such profane acts.

I totally agree with you Lauryn. I have never played you, but I have heard that you are very good! I haven't recieved any "hate mail" of my own, but while in play, I have seen name calling and other inappropriate things happening (ex. Zoon needs to stop called girls whores) I'm ashamed of whoever is emailing lauryn these things. If -z- knew that you were doing that, he would kick you from PTT. Lauryn, if you dont want this to happen anymore, stop giving out your email. I do apologize to you (even though I didnt do anything). This IS truely a dark day in TT. :'( :'(

Lauryn, sorry to hear that. I does seem that our little community has started to take a turn for the nasty lately.

I get some hate mail sometimes...usually from people who cannot stand the fact that I am better.

Lauryn if I see u getting picked on in a game, I will switch sides and kick their ass.

Thanks for the nice comments. As I have said before it is a shame that a small minority will always ruin things for the rest of us.

Interesting link KBC. As per point 6, I am becoming an observer, and collecting information. Problem is that whoever it is, they use too many aliases. The e-mails make references to games in which I was present, however player names vary a fair bit, there is no consistency. Also I suspect that the indivual/s concerned are somewhat of a computer expert, as I have tried various things to track them down, and they sure know what they are doing.

Without evidence I am not here to name people responsible for such acts. If I knew who the individual/s concerned were, sorry to say this, but I would refer the matter to my legal team, and the police. There is such thing as fun in this game, but this takes it to the next level.

Buzzz...incorrect! I happen to know stinky, and while a bit obnoxious on the posts, he would never stoop to such lows in real life.

Lauryn, were you playing in a game with me last night, it was scrum....I dont remember who else was there though, cloud was coming in and going out alot though.

I rarely play scrum, and can't recall it being me. When I play TT, I always say hi to everyone when I enter the server, and bye when I leave.

Don't tell me that I have an impostor. I suppose what's next???

Ummm stealth. That's exactly what they want you to do. Bullies most often have a problem, which they ease by pointing out the problems of others, making them feel bigger and better than the rest of the competition. They want to see you angry. They want to see you sad. They want to see any indication that you took their words in a bad way. Just delete the e-mails, I'm sorry to hear this lauryn. This is truly a sad day. I can't believe someone would stoop this low just to make themselves feel better. If those people had any heart they would not be sending you these e-mails and reconsider what they've done. I guess these people don't have a heart.

Before I got the info from KBC, see above, I did exactly what you stated. I did some research, and found a nice little virus situated in the web. The result was simple, he had to reformat his computer, and lost a lot of precious information, which is why he hasn't stop chasing me. While it was funny at the time, in hind sight, I am no better than he for stooping to his level.

Sorry to hear about the emails. I have gotten quite a few over the months as well, they usually get bored with the effort as long as you don't reply to them. Just mark them as spam in your email client and be rid of them without even having to know they were there. Sicko jerks.

It has been a bit of a bummer in the game and in the forum lately....

That's exactly what I have been doing as of late, I feel that if I read them, my blood starts to boil, then I have a need to get on the BM servers, and kapow everyone on the opposing side. PS:- Things like this don't normally bother me, but since I am in a foreign country, and don't know many people here in Sydney other than work colleagues, I feel more vulnerable.

Oh, ok. I was playing another Lauryn last night, and she was...well she was a bitch lol.

Its a freakin pity with so few women playing games (though more seem to be playing all the time) that some idiot would single out a few (that I know of) and pull sh*t like that. And at the same time it makes me realize why I spend less and less time on the net. Dont let it get to you, there are much bigger things to worry about, (enter the religious threads)

In Yahoo mail under member conduct in their terms of service appears" you agree not to:a.upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;

And theres a whole lot more. But I imagine if you just keep reporting them to yahoo abuse dept they will get bored with making new accounts and go away.

Man... That sucks. It takes a pretty sick mind to get off on other peoples suffering or misery. This guy needs to get served... That virus you sent him must've been pretty weak. You should send him something that'll melt his entire hard drive ;)
