Okay folks, here are my picks...

1st round picks

1 over 16, hands down! No competition!

8 over 9, what a fight this'll be! Tough call! Very tough call! @witness, please record!

4 over 13, Battlemoders vs. Scrummers! If it was BM, my pick would definitely be 13 over 4!

5 over 12, this'll be another good fight! But in the end, I thin Zack is going to crack under the pressure and blow it for his team!

14 over 3, Ambitious Newbie's vs. Experienced Vets! Iˇ¦m going to bet on the upset!

6 over 11 had to change my bet on this oneˇK 6 is just too strong for them!

15 over 2, another tough call, both teams are so closely matched!

10 over 7, hands down, but it'll be a better fight than 1 vs. 16

Round 2 picks

1 over 8,

4 over 5,

14 over 6 don't know why, but I have a good feeling about these kids.

10 over 15, this'll be another close one!

Round 3 picks

1 over 4,

10 over 14, all good things must come to an end sooner or later, Luck will only carry them so far!

Championship!

It'll be a vicious battle, but in the end, Major Pain, DaimBranage, and Zimp will pull off the upset!!!

Go underdogs!!!

Hey SteAlth, my side picks were buried in my post above:

...Team 10 over Team 11 in Round 3 and then Team 1 over Team 10 in the final.

Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 9:00:08 AM

I got 4 and 10 in round 3... 4 for the championship!

Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 5:12:58 PM

Wad up koz! We still on for this weekend right? SuperBowl XXXIII baby!

@ Ge0rge, oh ok... I see that now, 10 and 1 in round 3, 1 for the win! Got it :-)

@All, with the entry of George and kozer, Round 3 pot is now up to $9600 !!! Post your picks before it's too late!

I have team 3 in a sweep. They never got to play. Remaining teams, team 10 all the way. Single elimination does not determine the best team though. Only the team which had the best of luck. If you played a 5 or 7 game series, like basketball or baseball. Things become very different. Example. My favorite basketball team The Sacramento Kings are the best team in basketball. Yet they keep getting eliminated in the playoffs.

If we could get a Psycho Scum 3 on 3 season and playoffs. I'm in all the way.

Flea's remark. Best out of 77 games.... Really hits the mark.

I second the formation of a psycho 3 on 3 season.

As long as there is some parity in the teams.

Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 7:40:11 PM

Psycho 3 on 3 could work, but forget this current team system: we are going to work out something better, captains etc.

Thursday, January 29, 2004 at 5:37:37 AM

PS. Tanky is Robert Horry. Be afraid.

Thursday, January 29, 2004 at 5:46:01 AM

@Tally 3 seconds on the clock... PREY knocks the ball loose at the goal, heh! The ball bounces to the top of Cranium Crater. One second on the clock.... Tanky for Three.... Ack!

Friday, January 30, 2004 at 3:51:54 AM

@ Prey, sorry bud, but round 3 betting is now closed... Depending on the results of 11 vs 10, I'm going to do an odds based betting for the championship with a point spread and everything! That'll be exciting! :P

Good idea about the 3 team Psyco scrum league... 3 on 3 games are very exciting... Does this mean there's not going to be a 4 on 4 tourney?

@Kozer, look who's talking... Flipper! Hehehe XD

Were on a Rolo with the bolo... ;)

Sorry buddy. We gave it our best shot. I'm just lucky I didn't get permanently disfigured from all the lead I took up the @$$!

Round three side pot: $9600

Ben and I are the only ones who pick both 11 & 1 to win round three, so we split 50/50! $1800 each!

Total winings so far;

Me = $2933

Ben = $1933

Macr0t0r = $133

Main Pot: $4300

Standings

LC50, UNKNOWN!!! please repost your pic!

Ge0rge, TankGirl, and I have 9 winning picks each,

-Z- has 8 winning picks,

Macr0t0r did't bet past round 3, so he's stuck with 7 winning picks...

So here's the deal... TG didn't pick a winner and Ge0rge and I both got team 1 for the championship! So win or lose, Ge0rge and I are looking to split the pot! But we can't do anything until we get LC50's original post back up! So if you come accross LC50, please have him check this thread... Thanks :)

Ben

Ho yeah, look at my money, I smell G4 Powerbook....

You know that I picked 11 over 1 in the finals, right?

And I would like to point out that no one picked our team to go this far.... Everyone had us losing in ROUND ONE! HA! Sweetness.... This is something like the recent Super Bowl, 11 as (unknown) Carolina and 1 as the favored Pats. Let's hope things can turn out differently this time.

Thursday, February 05, 2004 at 4:20:16 PM

Yeah... Good Job Ben! You got the stuff that camps are made of... Lets see what you do with it now that the pressure is on...

I had you in round 1 but not round 2... Way to pull off the upset!!! Good Luck against the Elite... ;) you're going to need it! B)

Sorry Stealth for taking so long.... My predictions are back up (see above.... Way above). I had to sign up and re-uplaod to uploadit.org, which I think has been taken over by the Hungarian Government.

Also, this site has had some serious funkyness of late....

E.g.:

Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'

Script timed out

/comm-forum.asp

The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.

I SUSPECT SAKILRIF

I hope this is only a temporary bump in the road and is due to -Z- tinkering with the site.

THE WINNERS LIST!!!;

LC50 = $4300 (winnings) - $800 invested = $3500 up! Good job LC50!!!

TG = -$750

ACA = -$1000

-Z- = -$1200

Kozer = -$1600

Macr0t0r = $133 (winnings) - $2600 invested = -$2467

Stealth im guessing your side job has something do to with "running numbers" and taking orders on events? Let me know if I am wrong.

Sunday, February 08, 2004 at 2:31:53 AM

Hehehe, yeah, I'm a mortgage broker and Real Estate investor... ;) but it's more of a career than a side job.

What about me

Sunday, February 08, 2004 at 9:10:44 AM

I don't get your accounting practices, SteAlth - did you used to work for Enron? XD

Monday, February 09, 2004 at 2:10:57 PM

Oh yeah, Deathatron... Your down $1600 too... Round 3 was the only round you bet on, at $800 a pick... You got 1 out of 2, so ben and I split that $800 each... B)

I could be wrong on the math, I just kinda skimmed thru it real quick... You bought into all three rounds of betting and didn't win anything... So unfortunatly, it's a total loss of $2800... ($800 round 1 $400 round 2 and $1600 round 3 = $2800)
