Hey XXXXX, who are you?

It's in prefs.cs.

Is right, but a little correction... Type you're name into the adminnames.cs document, it should work then. :)

Honestly quadruple X... If you cant set your password after it has been explained to you in the installation instructions 5 times, what makes you think we know?

WELL I AM A MODDER WHO HAS MANY MODS AND ALSO HOW DO I USE THEM IN SERVERS I CANT GET THEM GOING stupid cap lock

Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 1:48:30 PM

You need to do a dedicated server with your mods...if that doesn't work, then there must be something wrong with the mission file.
Plus you need to take Caps Lock off. :P

I dont have any of the files for the dedicated server I purchased from shockwave

OK...open Metapad or any text editor. Type in the words that it says to on ^^ page.
Then, click Save As and call it Server.bat. Put it in ThinkTanks/Dedicated (if you don't have a Dedicated folder, make one). Then double click on it to start the server.

What ip or port should it be on

Wednesday, March 08, 2006 at 12:42:13 PM

Save the file as a BATCH file (.bat).
The port is set in the prefs.cs. It should be port # 28000.

Thursday, March 09, 2006 at 3:53:58 AM

So you have a network cable?
See, this is getting a bit too complicated for me...
All I know is that if you have a router, you need to port-forward it.

Ok...I just reread the thread...So you made a dedicated server on the right port and it still won't show up.
Go to Control Panel > Security Center > Windows Firewall. Turn the firewall off, and then try the dedicated server again.
