Welcome to the Geek Legion! Here a person is not liked for the amount of girls that want to go out with him. Rather, he is liked on how well he can complete an algebra problem in one's head... :P Jk! Here at legion, we value good players, sportsmanship, and coopertivitey... And don't forget the weird person factor! The GL is somewhat of a smaller area of EX, but this will change very soon. We are now accepting applications BTW! Now, onto what we actually do here in the legion. We exchange tips, help with tech problems over in the HQ, and we trade knowledge on strange, exotic languges! Practices are now normally on the weekends, and will most likely be shared with EX or WT.

Unfortunately, is not just all fun here at the legion. Rules and disapline mesures will be dealt with on a scale of offence.

1. Simply being an idiot- This means u aren't neccicarily doing anything wrong, just being dumb. Also, now if you do not show up fro a practice (unnexcused).
2. Actual offense, part 1- spamming, not cooperating, and not being loyal to the legion
3. Actual offense, part 2- swearing, more than three cases of #2, bming in scrum, team killing and selling out secret information!
Delta . Byebye- this is when you get silenced or banned!

Each meber has 8 strikes. A #1 offense gives u one strike. A #2 gives u two, and #3 gives you 3. Once you have striked out, you will be banned from geek legion. All stikes will be refilled every two months. A delta offense means you are banned with no hope of coming back.

NOTE: this is not nessicarily a group that will be fighting. We can talk, share knowledge and hhave fun. We can just be friends. Simple goal. Maybe one day it will expand, but for now it will just be a small group.

@ Whoever is going to host- NO BOTS!!!!!!! They screw everything over! Whenever we are trying to make formations, they kill us, when we try to attack, they get in the way. NO BOTS!!!

Ok, I can host. I have a separate copy of TT for wars and such. I could host my mods, but nobody has preloaded them and they have a HEAVY DUTY load. I could host some dash mods...I think. I could host stock maps...it would have to be locked, right? Because with an unlocked stock map we have danger of even DEMOs coming.
Even then, stock maps would be BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRING.

@ pgg: The preload is in a thread in the modding forums celled "Playa's Modding Thread". I havent made a new mod in a while cause I'm working on a big project.

@ all Mac users: You can't convince me otherwise, I've learned to hate Macs. Although I'm probably biased by the really sucky Macs in my school. ( does 600 mhz CPU tell you anything? Thats slower than a lot of people's FSB). One time a school Mac crashed when I opened 2 programs at once :P. And you will never match the CPU perfomance of PCs ;).

Also, new rule, folks. If you don't make it ot a practise, you get one strike. This can be avoided by TELLING ME beoforehand!

Player's problem is that he has OS 9, which is about 10 years old at last count! XD

You can't honestly compare OS 9 iMac tray loaders to todays Intel and AMD PC's, your looking at stuff that was competeing with Windows 95 . Have you ever used Windows 95 on an old Intel machine? It SUCKS . One time I started one up and it crashed.... Ohh wait... It did that every time. Go try out a new Mac with 10.4 or even 10.1, both still trump XP, and Vista has no chance against Tiger. ;)

No, these days they have OSX.

Well part of the reason is that the school is paranoid and does not let us change the system preferences. And I despise the "Dock" or whatever it is. It's always in your way. Actually, the only thing I like is that cool little application called "Sherlock".

What about hardware? Isn't it a lot harder to upgrade a Mac? And maybe this isn't true, but I heard they can't boot from CD. And how do you edit the hardware configuration without actually using the OS? Does it have a BIOS?

^ ah. The common mac hater does not get to experience the wonders of the true mac. Example one

You can add anything you want to a mac via USB, and you can upgrade the RAM. Also, I am not sure by what you mean by boot from CD. You mean like you stick a CD in and it automatically makes the app pop up? If so, only partly true. You can stick the cd in and then click the app. Then it starts up. Now, concerning the dock: You can put it on hide. Make it dissapear onto your screen. And Mac Laptops are way more reliable than pc laps. Especially now with uberintel powerbooks.

By boot from CD, I mean if you need to repair the OS for whever reason, you can load the OS off of the CD instead of the hard drive. Think about it, that can be a crucial feature.

Hey all:
A few people have been talking about merging WT, EX, GL, and SF into one army. This would help all the armies, but especially SF because theyre in need of a leader. The name will probably be XTL (Xtreme Tank Legion). Please post your thoughts about this (not just something like "this idea sucks XO XO", try to be a little smarter than that ;) ). Also, check the SF thread for updates, this is basically where were talking about this idea.

I think merging the armies could be quite interesting...and a challenge for other armies.

The name XTL is awsome! Keep that one!
