Then maybe you could try an industrial, sort of rusty heavy? Kind of a vague description, do you know what I'm talking about?

Perhaps an Ajax themed skin. Just popped into my head.

Green Lantern would be cool.
Perhaps a beach theme.
Make a vintage tank or something. Kinda like the WWII skinset.

Or what about a light-grey tank, whit on the middle of both sides black spirals, and on the front and backside darkgrey equalisers.
The brain is darkgrey, and the threads are lightgrey.

You could have skulls on the side. And like some sabers somewhere. Oo oo and a flag. And some pirates walking around on it. And some treuasure on board.
