Hi, I have searched the forums but have not been able to find this specific problem. I happily ran think tanks that I purchased through Real Arcade. It ran fine on my computer, which uses XP home edition with an nvidia graphics card Geforce MX video. I used the driver that came with the computer, a refurbished emachines w3052 with an AMD sempron 3000+ processor. Then I bought a copy of Silent Hunter II and installed it. It would not run until I updated the driver from the nvidia site. Fine so far, Silent Hunter II is a lot of fun, but unfortunately my think tanks now crashes with the usual unhelpful message sending offer from microsoft. The shell tries to launch I believe. The screen blanker blanks the screen momentarily, then the desktop comes back up with the offer from microsoft to send a message about the error. If you want I can send you a copy of the error message, it is worse than greek to me. The specific heading of the message is that Think Tanks.exe has had a problem and needs to close. I tried rolling back the driver, I tried reloading, that is, removing and re-installing think tanks from real arcade. No effect. I uninstalled with a new uninstaller program better than windows uninstall and tried again. No. I uninstalled the game and bought another copy from Brave Tree. No effect, same message. So, I have the latest driver, and I know my system can run think tanks without a problem. I have also uninstalled silent hunter II and reinstalled it by the way. It works great, but I miss my tanks, even though the greek goddesses blew me away on a regular basis. Please help.

This can be solved with 2 easy steps..

1. Go to a Mac store

2. Buy a Mac.

With an NVidia card you must go into the video settings and turn off
"Desktop Manager"
Hope this helps

Thanks for the tip about desktop manager, unfortunately it is already off and the problem remains unsolved. And I refuse to buy a mac. It is a matter of economics.
