I didn't realize I was Michael Moore.
Let me go start eating.
I bet michael's finally getting la_d also...
Naw, JJ, I'm all about f ing those subterreans up. But the war on terror is not synonymous with the war on iraq, as should be clear to you be now. Its clear to just about everybody else...including the pentagon. Iraq was a costly diversion. As such, it is truly an outrage...it syphoned money and personnel away from the true war on terror...and for what?
What gets me steamed up is that monkey used the war on terror to initiate his pet project in iraq. He lied. He didn't missread the intelligence reports. He lied. Using something as horrific as 9/11 to justify iraq is inexcusable.
And the left can't see past it right now? Well, I don't think that is the case.
What exactly is this government doing to combat terror right now? Hmm? Look around...we're bogged down in what is becoming a civil war in a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. Meanwhile, what are we doing about terrorism?
Besides talking about it, invoking 9/11, waving the flag, exploiting the gullible...?
What the hell is the right doing about it?
Just wondering if you are outraged. As outraged as you are at Dubya.
Oh, well...
Interesting to note that the Frontline article mentions that the U.S. Is less a target of terrorism now thanks to Muslims here putting their foot down.
At least they are outraged.
Pick and choose much Jiggles? Have you not seen all of the reports out there, many from the military or other intelligence agencies, that say that our misshandling of iraq has likely led to wider recruitment of potential terrorists?
I'm outraged on one front: bush's exploitation of a national tragedy...you seem to require more outrage from me.
on the terrorist front...i'm waiting/ready to support a REAL response. One with real diplomatic, multilateral aspects, as well as some smart, precise, nasty military aspects...
Outraged at the terrorists? No, I'm not. I'm not ready to demonize them. I am, however, ready to kill them.
they are sworn enemies of our state, and they have attacked us. They don't like us..we don't like them... Let's F them up.
I don't need to cast this as 'good vs evil' to feel good about it. But lets quit f ing around with iraq. What are we not doing in Saudi Arabia because of our relations with the royal family? Lets cut the crap...bogging down in some dumbass quagmire, getting our guys killed...its pig-headed. Meanwhile, al quaeda is free to roam around elsewhere, sipping cafe au laits, planning the next caper...this is the outrage.
You like a cozy narrative, whether its accurate or not. GW has created a wonderful fable for the gullible. You seem to be saying that if you aren't down with this GW terrorist narrative, you don't understand the true issues that confront western civilization. I am telling you GW wrote one version. His version is pretty creative, unfortunately, ITS FULL OF LIES.
Lets cut the mythology building sh*t and get on with it. We have known enemies out there, and we're not doing anything about them.
Conditioned by fox to substitute "outrage" for meaningful action. I guess as long as one is duly "outraged" one must be on the right track. Watch that crappy crew: they are always "outraged" about something. Screaming, telling people to shut up...
Why are the "true patriots" so gaddam nasty? So gaddam "outraged" all the time?
Are the angry so easily manipulated? Funny...watching 'jerry springer' the po white trash are always "outraged" about something too. I get the feeling, when I watch fox (and I do, because its one of the only news channels the military will rebroadcast to us...go figure) that those morons at fox are play acting to the jerry springer crowd, the rascists, the uneducated, the underemployed, the self-made men, the gun enthusiasts, the great masses of the distracted, the herd, the consumer class, etc. To get all the disenfranchized, easily emotionally manipulated knuckle-walkers at home...duly outraged.
"PINHEAD MONKEY"!?
OH-PAH!
I am practicing my Greek exclamations...a little fire in the kitchen.

@ Stinky
Aside from leaving Iraq, what do you propose be done that's not already being done?
Persecuted majority update: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6210240/
Seems that the "focus on the family" folks are going after obermann for helping them look like knuckle-walkers in the eyes of the rest of the world...
"Still, if there was one disturbing element, it was the number of emails— maybe 20 percent—which invoked Dan Rather and “what we did to him.” There is evidently a mass misunderstanding of the history of Rather’s retirement from the CBS Evening News. He was not hit by vengeful lightning, although don’t go telling that to the religious right. That his retirement was being planned last summer is an irrelevancy to them."
Bizarre
I like Keith O. An ESPN refugee.
Tempest in a teapot.
Marginalization #2 for today.
BTW, Stinker, I will respect your POV from now on.
No more making fun of your links.
But first just say that you hate totalitarian governments in foreign countries...

Dude, I give as good as I get...! And sometimes, you cheer me up with your jabs!
And yes, I quite hate them... I canna stand intolerant elements...but, perhaps its ok to be intolerant of intolerant elements? Practically speaking?
Meaning...its ok to profile young muslim men at the airport...because they are vaguely associated with a brutally nasty intolerant element? (I kinda think so...)
Right now, many european countries are in the position of determining just how tolerant, how "liberal" they should be with respect to tolerating islam, and islamic extremism in their migrant, or immigrant, or formerly immigrant communities. Personally, I say...screw their civil liberties...at least in part...this is a war of ideology. A line has to be drawn somewhere...or should they continue to extend liberties to people, a very small percentage of whom, want to blow us off the face of the earth?
I don't like living in a police state...perhaps if we profile, the rest of us can move more quickly through the airport...?
Thomas frank noted in his book "wassa matter wif kansas" that the republicans suck in religious conservatives, and other decent, though somewhat intolerant people by playing up issues like abortion, gay marriage, yada yada. Frank isn't the only one to notice this strategy...many pundits have commented on it by now.
This explains why so many working class americans are affiliated with the party of greed and big business kick-backs. The GOP gets these folks all riled up on cultural issues...manipulates them emotionally (and since the DNC have cut the "people are the power" rhetoric of the 50s, 60s, and 70s in pursuit of new money democrats...there isn't much to attract these folks to the left...)
But frank says what the GOP eventually does, after it uses these rubes to vote them into office...is to then ignore these emotional issues. Abandons them. And then in the next election cycle, they start beating the drum again...
Well, now we get to the part where the rubes get abandoned:
http://www.thehollandsentinel.net/stories/012805/opi_012805019.shtml
And so on and on it goes...the GOP gets people to vote against their own economic interests...and the rest, as you can tell by dropping standards of living, record federal deficits, increasing child poverty, burgeoning gap between the rich and poor...is history.
Tinky-Winky had it coming! It was all a matter of time... *shifty eyes*
Say,while they are at,why don't they target KND,Bwahahaha,I'd like to see how that goes. 'cause that show is unusually popular...
Sancho, my lance!

College Republicans Plan 'Straight Pride Week'
UPDATED: 11:49 am EST January 28, 2005
EDMOND, Okla. -- A University of Central Oklahoma student group is planning what it calls "Straight Pride Week" on campus.
Members of the College Republicans said despite objections from some, they have every right to celebrate.
SURVEY
Which is closest to how you feel about the College Republicans' "Straight Pride Week" celebrations?
Good for them.
They are being discriminatory.
I don't mind it because it just makes it them look bad.
Neither "Gay Pride Week" or "Straight Pride Week" should be observed.
Results | Disclaimer
"The general gist is that if you are a straight student on campus be proud, be loud, this is your time to shine," said college Republican Kyle Houts.
The group has posted fliers on campus that read, "we're here, we're conservative, we're out."
Members of the Gay Alliance for Tolerance and Equality say they consider the College Republican's celebration an attack on gay and lesbian students.
"What is there to say about it, 'I'm proud, and I'm straight and I guess white,' I don't know?" said GATE member Jennifer Rodriguez. "I think they definitely are being discriminatory because there's probably a lot of gay Republicans out there."
University officials have given the College Republicans permission to put up their fliers, but say their approval does not constitute an endorsement.
Doncha hate republicans?

LOL
I agree - freedom of expression should be banned.
While we're at it - I think we should re-distribute all of John Kerry's assets to the poor and hungry - ketchup for all!!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't that be....Communism? Chief?
Don'tcha love Republicans? XD
Oh by the way...A few days ago they announced on Fox that PBS made a new "Arthur" episode about that bunny (forgot his name). Right? Well, turns out that the episode is all about the bunny visiting a lesbian home. The media was too upset to show it over public television (no wonder), so they're putting it in special TV (maybe gay states. I dunno). Doesn't that just scare ya? Kind of freaky thinking they took a third-grade student (the kids in 'Arthur' are in third grade) into going to a lesbian home. Yeach. I am not kidding guys. It was on FOX News about 2 days ago. Yeach.
@ Gaul
LOL - I was being somewhat facetious....trying to get a rise out of the Stinkmaster......
I apologize - I should hooked a "dripping with irony" disclaimer to it.
Here are the current results of the survey question in stink's post.

The group has posted fliers on campus that read, "we're here, we're conservative, we're out."....what a brave stance...! Right now, in case you haven't noticed, you are in the majority, you morons. The pasty white intolerant is definitely not on the indangered species list.
It makes a mockery of the civil rights movement. Especially ironic when you consider that republicans are typically the people that authentic civil rights movements are always struggling against.
Gaul makes my point nicely...i already cited that episode, but came down on the other side. Imagine that...
NO. Republicans always put down the CORRUPT movements. For some reason, people think that being gay is a civil right, or, being pro-abortion is a civil right. Well, I think they're corrupt rights that people call for themselves, and not the government. And by the way...um...no offence sticky but...you keep mentioning "The white intolerant...". Are you by any chance black? NO OFFENCE. It's just that you keep mentioning about whites being bad...whatever you mean by "white"...
LOL! ^ wing nut alert!
You wouldn't be a buddy of my ol friend ramrod, would you?
Classic
And who might he be?

More on bunnies and lesbians: "For adults, the fuss over a PBS children's television show featuring an animated bunny — and real lesbian mothers — was nothing new. But for Emma Riesner, 11, who was supposed to be a star of the now-controversial episode of "Postcards From Buster," what began as a participatory social studies lesson has become a harsh lesson in exclusionary politics.
"I was pretty upset when the show was canceled because I was very excited about it," Emma said in a telephone interview from her home in Vermont. "I know some people don't like gays and lesbians because they think they are bad people. That's just a stereotype and it's kind of hurtful. I don't think people should think of us as very different. We are just the same except we have two mothers. "
Two mommies??? An outrage! A CORRUPTION of nature. Next thing you know, BLACKS AND WOMEN will demand the right to vote! Better put a stop to all this "diversity."
I'd laugh, if you people weren't so dam scary...
More on CORRUPTIONS of nature...
German zoo tempts gay penguins to go straight
The four Swedish females were dispatched to the Bremerhaven Zoo in Bremen after it was found that three of the zoo’s five penguin pairs were homosexual.
Keepers at the zoo ordered DNA tests to be carried out on the penguins after they had been mating for years without producing any chicks. It was only then they realised that six of the birds were living in homosexual partnerships. Director Heike Kueck said that the zoo hoped to see some baby penguins in the coming months.
She said that the birds had been mating for years and one couple even adopted a stone that they protected like an egg. Kueck said that the project has the support of the European Endangered Species Programme because the penguins, which are native to South America, are an endangered species.
The outrage!!! Gay penquins!
God, I sure hope scientists find a cure for animal faggotry! I mean, what if the other animals in the zoo think animal faggotry is...gasp! NORMAL?
The outrage! Somehow I suspect liberal zoo keepers are mixed up with this...spreading their agenda of "diversity."
So, you actually think gays and lesbians are fine?? If you ask me, if we were all gay, what do you think would happen? Hmm? Take a wild guess what would happen.
If yuo don't know the answer, all I can say is yer a dumb idiot. Lol.
Classic!
Perhaps you're right friend...why don't we burn em all at the stake before this thing spreads.
They do a similar thing in arab lands...where homosexuality brings about the punishment of death...so, apparently, you good people are in good company...you members of the chrisian right...you american taliban...
(I presume this gaul fellow is about 14 years old...so he is excused. What about the rest of you...too "mature" to voice a similar zeal with regard to homos?) ever wonder why your politics mirror the politics of 14 year old boys?
Didn't think you did. Wonder, that is...
You know what? I think you are absolutely right about burning them at the stake. 'Cause that's what God's gonna do to em, unless they turn to Christ. See, you don't get the idea that CHRIST WAS NOT HOMOSEXUAL! And yes, you are right, I'm 14, homeschooled, and probably smarter than you on this subject, 'cause man, you got issues if you start this topic...which has nothing to do with TT. Lol. And I bet yer about 17. An adolescent young man to think we should have Gay Marriage in our Country which was founded specifically to spread the Christian faith. DUH. And if yer older, get off TT 'cause this is a GAME and not a site to put down the President who can do even better than a cheapscate flip-flop!
Absolutely priceless!
"ever wonder why your politics mirror the politics of 14 year old boys?
Didn't think you did. Wonder, that is..."
Absolutely priceless...
Gual, that speech was based only on opinions and beliefs, stink has pure facts in his posts.
LOL KBC!
What's so funny is that while no one has come out quite as aggressively as Gaul has, Stinky still thinks that all conservatives are anti-gay, rascist, etc.
Maybe this is all in Stinky's head? He has been working hard lately - and with the taco DT's and all......
Here's one for you:
Why are Senate Democrats blocking the nomination of a female African-American judge (whose name escapes me incidentally)? If the Dems are the party of equality - why the roadblock? Also: explain Condi Rice's nomination as SecState?
(I haven't forgotten that no one left of Rabban has answered my previous question: "what would Dems do differently in Iraq?" - of course hindsight's 20/20, but still).
@ Legs
I love you bro, but Stinky has a nasty habit of quoting articles from somewhat "left leaning sources" if you know what I mean. Wait a minute - I take that back. Hell, the media are for the most part ALL left leaning sources.
@ Stinky
What's so funny is that the "march" made the news. Question: Are you saying that the average collegiate environ consists of 50/50 Dems/Reps? Okay - how about this one: how about the average faculty? I have quite honestly had the impression for some time now that the majority of today's college faculty were somewhat "elitists" with no practical real-world experience. Just take that guy in Colorado (please)......(a nod to Rodney)......is anyone here surprised his remarks caused a stir nationally? Is anyone NOT amazed that his remarks weren't picked up sooner?
From a conservative's standpoint - I think that the Democratic Party is rapidly becoming the "blame America first" crowd - with no general self-esteem and no original ideas.
I love you bro, but Stinky has a nasty habit of quoting articles from somewhat "left leaning sources" if you know what I mean. Wait a minute - I take that back. Hell, the media are for the most part ALL left leaning sources.
Yes,I know,I read these things myself (which is odd,I hate the media),but hey, better than nothing.
"Why are Senate Democrats blocking the nomination of a female African-American judge (whose name escapes me incidentally)? If the Dems are the party of equality - why the roadblock? Also: explain Condi Rice's nomination as SecState?"
Classic! The race card!
Hmmm...let me take a stab at this....cause she's an incompetent boob? And because her nose is three inches up bush's a$$. I'm surprised you didn't bring up the opposition to capt. Torture gonzales...what an absurd accusation chief: the democrats are rascist. That's what makes you fellas so easy to badger...your utter lack of shame.
And more liberal press accusations! I suppose you missed the spate of reports in the...gasp...mainstream press about the exposes of the reporters taking payola from the bush administration to tout bush agenda crapola?
And you say my sources are suspicious...hmmm? And then say all press is liberal...same old crap.
Whats funny about the march, o simpletons, is that they have attempted to co-opt the language of the oppressed while they enjoy membership in the political party of exclusion and rascism. Its downright absurd.
LOL
While I have quoted examples, I see none in return.
Also, to clarify: I never once uttered the Dems are racist. I offered those examples to counter
Two mommies??? An outrage! A CORRUPTION of nature. Next thing you know, BLACKS AND WOMEN will demand the right to vote! Better put a stop to all this "diversity."
I'd laugh, if you people weren't so dam scary...
While we're at it - oppresed, or formerly oppressed? Exactly whom is currently oppressed in this country (other than maybe the Democrats - but then again they are simply suffering from the forwarding of unpopular beliefs)?
Immigrants - illegal and legal - prove everyday that this is the land of opportunity. If by oppression you mean "aren't getting something for free" then you may be correct.
Oh, I see...since the bush administration has selected a black women to be its choice for secretary of state, they are no longer racist. My bad. In fact, it absolves them of all the wrongs against women and minorities of the past....
Quoted examples? What the hell you talking about...?
Last edited: Wednesday, February 09, 2005 at 1:37:07 PM
Man, why are you keeping this up stink?? You know the Bush administration is right for what it has been doing for the past!! (except it not putting proper protection for the borders). Maybe you should post your comments somewhere else...lol
^ I love this guy
@ Stink
Hell, I don't know. I've been up too long. Maybe after some sleep I'll make more sense.
EDIT:
I think I just figured something out., based on the stmt "it absolves them of all the wrongs against women and minorities of the past...."
How much of your ire is at W and how much is at the gov't in general? Just curious - I may be discovering a side of you I've never know.
I think we may have just found a closet conservative......
http://www.mydd.com/story/2005/2/10/131522/916
mighty impressive.
Ok, if you hate Bush (duh), and you haven't been impressed by the government yet, why don't you go to one of the those John Kerry sites and "Talk about that plan" he never talks about. Lol. After all, he is running again. So SHUT UP!
LOL!!
...a potential male prostitute with no journalistic experience...
At the end of the day - aren't we ALL potential male prostitutes? I mean, if Pam Anderson offered to pay me $100 to go on a date with her....hell I'd go.
And on the "they support internment of minorities"....now that we just re-fought Vietnam, are we going to have to go and re-do WWII as well?????
Also, on a serious note - @ Stinky
I am curious - how is the news on N. Korea's acknowledging they have nukes going over in Japan? I would think they would be going "oh shit......"
With good reason......
Hopefully Kim will hold fire 'til you rotate home.
Hey! Wanna know what your fellow bushies are up to? I'll try and keep you updated. You republicans and conservative "independents" are curious critters...some of you seem quite normal...sure, you have some strange peculiarities: resentment of the lower classes (the non-ownership classes) fear of government, a belief in manifest destiny, blind support of a war-mongering moron, selfish consumerist tendencies, gun love, xenophobia, fixations with homosexual acts...nothing too outside of what has become the norm for the US. But then again, some of you are quite whacked! And just so you can keep up with your racier bush buddies...i'll post their antics here. Hell, I got nothing better to do THAN TO CONSTANTLY REMIND YOU who your bed-fellows are! From Fundamentalists, to NASCAR enthusiasts, all the way over to wall street brokers and CEOs...ever stop to wonder what all you people have in common? No? Didn't think so...
Ah, but who cares? Some of you folks are just plum crazy! Read on:

WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 - On the heels of electoral victories barring same-sex marriage, some influential conservative Christian groups are turning their attention to a new target: the cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants.
Doncha just love it? Hell yeah! Less lynch that homer! So...what do you soccer moms have in common with these crazy bastards?
