Well, uv done your research! :)
Very cool...but I am new at this, maybe some instructions?
Is there anyone who wants a color on the list?
Ok...a more specific question...im not interested in modding, but I would like to alter the fog color in an existing terrain [frantic]. Is this possible? Im not interested in hosting my own mod, just matching the fog to some skins I made...
Shockwave I think.
Mac of course...os 10.3 ish
Some day you will learn The Way, young one.
I can help you out evil twin, Im also on a Mac. Its very simple. But first what exactley do you want to do?
Evil, I'm not going to a mac. I'm always staying PC. Linux is no better than PC and vice-versa. Mac is no better than PC and vice-versa.
Thanks Rev, I dont want to make huge changes to a level, just alter the existing fog color so it is more pleasing to my eyes...i don't know if this is like skinning where the fog only changes for you, but thats all I am looking for. I do not want to create & host my own mod, just alter the existing fog color.
@palm- Lies. But thanks anyways

Ok. Well heres the thing the fog only changes in your levels so if you altered it in your frantic levells like I did when you go online into other peopls frantic levels it will still be red. However if you created a server the fog would stay whatever color you changed it to. So that both you and them would see it.
Its preatty simple to do. You obviously know how to put on tank skins. Correct?
So al you have to do is control click on the TT icon and select show package contens. Then open contents/resources/game/data/missions.
then all you have to do is click on the mission you would like to change the fog in. Like TT1_1.mis (medualla mesa) or whatever.
it will bring you up a window that says what program would you like to open this with. Just select text edit and it should look like this.
then you can just copy and paste the numbers from palm's post and place them there where the arrow is.
Remember to make a back up copy of any mission you edit. If you forget u can just download the demo again and take what you need from it and throw the rest away.
That should help

I love my Mac. I did this on a pc at my sisters house one time and it was so much more complicated to even get the files.

cool, just what I needed Rev, thanks so much.
Sure, anytime
Evil you just can't admit some computers are good at one thing and terrible at another. Agree with me and this argument will end.

O god lets not get into this...but I am admitting that macs are better for some purposes.
...And worse for others. It's only the facts of home technology.

I will agree with that. But for my purposes, I simply COULD NOT use a pc, it is impossible.
Cool. Good job on the colors :).
Thank you. Oh, for anyone who see's this:
Burgandy: 83.6
what you have to do is remove the other three codes. Same with the 3 coded ones. Delete the other one.
Does anyone want a color up on the list?
Hey Palm!
Check out this link -

If you have access to a RGB color chart you don't have to experiment. Simply pick the R G and B values that correspond to the color you want and find them on this chart that is linked above. Should make life a whole lot easier and you can really get some great custom colors for fog.
