From our religious correspondent: Campeth ye not, saith the Lord, for it is Written.
In my opinion, camping is okay for Med Tanks and Demo's. I consider them an extra obstacle and have found that 8 out of 10 times, I'm able to get around them anyways. I consider it the oldest trick in the book, and you gotta be a real chump to fall for it every time.
But regulars in a light tank should not be camping. It's not a very lucrative way to score anyways...
That's my opinion,

CAMPING IS THE ONLY WAY TO HAVE FUN AS A DEMO. IF YOU TRY TO SCORE - YOUR DEAD. :)
My God it spoke.
YES MY SON... :)
No that's very very good, I'm impressed. Two whole sentences, with punctuation and everything. Next time try it with the little letters too maybe? And it's "you're" not "YOUR" but never mind. Your therapist will be very pleased!
Im taking screen shots, so it cannot be denied.
No, because, thats the only way to piss-off the members. RIGHT? : )
Er, what?
I really hate it when I make a run for the goal and find 3 Lights (non-demo) waiting on the other side of the goal to do the ol' bounce and score. But when you got 10 players in the game, msot of them decent, there isn't much you can do to score except be at the right place at the right time. Often the mentallity is "You dont score = I win"
But SITTING in the actaul goal waiting for the scrumemr to come towards you, jsut wrong, and annoying
Da Cleaner is the ONLY player I have fragged who actually made me feel bad I did.
:-)

WHY?
CLEANED! Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Well maybe so many demos do it because they dont know its bad (I didn't)
In team scrum camping is a necessary tactic...in indie scrum I like MJ's words:
"When they goto the goal first and never after the scrum and then sit thats camping"
Other than that camping in indie is gonna happen....many reasons that are discussed elsewhere...

@DA Cleaner Same here killing you... We know you have a sense of humor. Everyone starts as a DEMO camping. Even Bolo. Think you've been around long enough to join the community. Need to see you in a lite tank... In memory, the longest hold out to buying the game was Demo (Merv). He became as well known as you. Taking the ball and driving off a cliff is very centric. We all try and play the game and have fun. You should see, though, it isn't just you having fun interferring with the game. We all try and be fair. Would like to see you join the members and get into some team scum..Glad you found the board.

I'd rather see him in a long box. Why are we being so nice to this guy? He's a one-joke comedian.
I think I had the demo longer than Merv did... I just didn't play as much and when I did play, I was a lot more discrete... I downloaded the Demo in June last year, I didn't buy the full version until late Nov. Or Early Dec. I don't remember exactly.
I WILL NEVER BUY THIS GAME... :)
DAcleaner..... Yuck, I have yet to see you be anything but an idiot. I hope you can mature a bit to be a contributing member of this community.
Saying you will never buy this game means that you are stealing from the developers. Quit stealing. You are using the game, buy it.
Regarding this topic, "Is Camping Bad?"
No not at all, as long as you don't do it in a game where I am playing.
:)

Camping is fine as long as it's in the woods....
:)
Keep on camping, BMing and Diving I encourage it, makes me work harder to win the game. ;)
I never camped as a demo (then again I was in battlemode a lot lol). XD X/
Oh and TankGirl I don't mind campers (even the they beat the heck out of me each time) and if it's a demo I quickly skitter around them and voila, one point to me!

I wonder sometimes whether camping is all that bad, cause I have figured out how to wind myself through campers, Plz give me you feedback on this pretty much useless Scrum strategy. Ty. ;)
