Forums Index >> Modding >> At what video resolution do you play TT?

Page : <1> :

I ask this because I just upgraded from a 32MB Nvidia GeForce4 MX to a 128MB nVidia GeForce Ti4600.

I thought this would allow me to play above 800 x 600 but the game unexpectedly quits. Maybe I've inadvertently dlelted a file while dropping in new maps.

Any way, please post the following.

Platform: Mac Windows Linux?
Processor speed and RAM
Video Card:
Playing Video Resolution:
Highest Possible Resolution: ( highest res your card can display the game but may not play well... I.e low frame rates)
Monitor Type/Kind" LCD or CRT

I;m interested to know what others wiith similar specs are running resolution wise.

I'll go first.

Platform: Mac OS X
Dual 867 G4 - 1.5GB RAM
Video Card: 128MB nVidia GeForce Ti4600.
Playing Video Resolution: 800 x 600 I like the "bigness"
Highest Possible Resolution: used to be 1024 x 768 but it stuttered a lot
Monitor Type/Kind: Apple 23" CInema Display LCD

Platform: Windows 2000 Pro
Processor Speed: 1.6 Ghz Duron
RAM: 512MB
Video Card: 128MB ATI Rageon 7000 AGP
Playing Video Resolution: 800 x 600 32bit Low Detail
Highest Possible Resolution: 1024 x 768 but it crashes.
Monitor Type/Kind: 17" HP SVGA monitor.

If I change to 1024 x 768 TT Crashes! If I change to anything other than low detail, TT Crashes. If I change to 16 bit, TT crashes.

I have been back and forth with tech support about it, and so far 800x600, 32bit, Low Deatil does not crash. Every driver has been updated several times, and the problem has not gone away.
