Page : <1> :
<blush>
This is just a ploy to get me back in the battlefield isn't it? :P
I don't know, I think I pale in comparison to TankGirl and the almighty -z-! Slugthog gets an honorable mention. Tally Ho is loved by those who don't mind getting there arse kicked.
- BombJames Bomb
There is only one answer to this:
-z-
-z- is definitely the most respected for all he gives back to us. There's quite a few to name though, and I don't want to start and forget someone. Most of the CTF/Team Scrum players are the great ones. I think Bolo hit the nail on the head w/ the Scrum vs. Battlemode post.
I forgot all about -z-. Yes, he is Mr. Popular!
As for Tally Ho and Bolo... They also seem to be incredible magnets that draw everyone to their games.
They might not be all sunshine and giggles, but they sure are great players and ultra witty as they mock and belittle their competitors.
It makes beating them all the more enjoyable (however rare that might be!!!)
I got a few for ya!!:
-z- (of course)
Bomber Dan
JimboJoe
B62
AssHat
Gamefreak
Michael
LYNN
Lisa Simpson
DestroyerX (or -r-)
And many many more!
Everyone I have met (except zoon) seems like great ppl (even tho some of those ppl dont talk much)
I respect everyone in this game, and to me, we are all equal in popularity XD
LYNN?? Really?? The first time I saw her in a game she spent an entire solo scrum match camping. After I called her out on it and continuosly killed her for it she's seemed to have a vindeta out for em ever since.
Slugthog and 56 k
@LilAlienD (AKA 44?)
Yes, Lynn is really a sweetheart and only camped when she first started playing. As a matter of fact, she is the most generous player I've ever seen too. She would actually step aside and let you score without contesting you and even helped by shooting down bots. I believe she eventually stopped camping though and has become a good player. Also, I think she is a very young girl, like 16? Maybe younger?
She has a big band of boys who like her too.
I am flattered then you peeps can see through the crank and bitterness, for I am generally a mench at heart :).
All the good people know who they are, the clowns know who they are. Has anyone heard from Clax and Perdy btw?
There are SO many that I admire here. Makes for a good vibe just thinking about you all.
Those of you that I have great relationships with, so happy to have you in my life.
There are two that get an extra gold star by their names:
James Bomb: I still want you to marry me and I want to bear your children.
Sluggy: I want you to be my grandpa, my morals mentor, and my network admin.
In the up-n-coming category, Paisano is charming the pants off me (errr... Ummm... Excuse the expression eh?). Not only that, he is a damn fine looking Italian man. (James, you better make your move soon.) My only concern about Pais is he is a tad too polite, I might eat him for a snack in my lesser moments.
:)
PS: Pais, those are great posters... Thanks for the compliments too.

The list is a long one.. Possibly too long to even remember every one on it. There is no one person who I'd say is the most likeable, its the crowd that makes the game, not the individual. You don't tend to go to a party just because one particular person is going to be there, moreover, you go to a party where most of the other guests are going to be good company.
My list would include the likes of (and in no particular order): Azazel, Jangles, Tally, Hugo, JamesBomb, Mr HankyPanky, TankGirl, Sluggy, Bolo, ACA, Lancer, OM, Moe, ReagentX, FleaBiscuit, Baba, Gnomie, 56k, Paco, LC50, Abbadon, Oddball, DanMacdonald, PoekMalo, and countless others, some of which I probably have hardly ever managed to get the chance to play with or against.
-Z-
I gots to say anDru, 44, old duffer, kentuckykillbilly, gerbil of death, asshat, minnow and all the other slackers that I run into. I will be there to chew bubble gum and to kick all your asses.

@TG
Aww, schucks...(blushing)... I am flattered to be someone..er...on the rise?
@Z
Great point! It isn't just one person, but the crowd that makes a party. Yes, makes sense.
However, one rotten apple can spoil the whole bunch though! Whenever I see Demo (attack) or anything like that, I stay away unless I feel like being a Heavy and smoking his butt!
Yes, I'd say TankGirl and -z- are the most popular around here. Though I've never even been able to play them.
Scratch that, I played tankgirl once for about 10 minutes and then I had to leave. Lol.
Yea racer im with ya' :'(. I had this game for over a year now, but I guess I dont play much X/ foulplay has my vote just because no one mentioned him
@ All,
Ok Here is my list (in no particular order):-
Bolo
Chocoholic
LC50
Mystery Man
Kiwi the worst aka Kiwi 300 + ping
Racer 445
Miss Kitty
Fatman(FH)
Banshee
Quitter
Battleaxe aka Blitzreig
Dr SawBones
The artist formely known as Ben(SA)
(UF) Tankster
Geez... I think I could go all day
Most of the people I have mentioned play battlemode, sorry don't mean to leave you scrummers out, however I don't play scrum often enough to know you most.
LaurynTM
Battleaxe is blitz??? I didnt know that.....
I agree with the above lists for the most part....also add DJ_breaka....
B
I find games more enjoyable when I play with the following:
Bolo, Baba, Tally, Hugo, -z-, TG, LC50, 56k, Sluggy, Dan Mac (the one or two times I played with or against him), Quitter, Ben, Clax, FP, and DJ_breaka, Nathan.
There are probably alot of names I am forgeting on there, but as long as you are a good sport, and dont camp/chat excesivly/use excessive profanity, I like playing with you.

Who's this "Nathan" guy I keep hearing so much about?
Sigh lol. I guess I don't play any more, so fair is fair. ;)
*sigh* :o no love for me :( oh well... XD
My favorite players are Azezel (wherever he may be), Tank Dork, Atreyu, LagMan, LC50, Asterik, -Z- (all of team Pacific Rim / Global for that matter), Dan Mac, Sluggy, Reagent X, Baba (& Co.), Sizicus, Racer, Cadc, Shadow (wherever he may be ;) ), Major Pain, Kozer, Burnsey, HugoBrain, and there's a few otheres that I just can't think of right now.
Oh yea, forgot about ya Nathan.
Nathan?? Good modder, but nice? I call him about 90%temper!
I love you all my good folks. After a long day toiling in the fields, nothing is better than to mount my pixel tank and to unleash a fury on some close online friends! XD
I've been playing this game for over a year now, and enjoy it even more. B)
The playmanship evolved so much! %) Most everyone is so polite and civilized now. The passes and team spirit are awesome. It only gets better! Yesterday I was playing TS with some semi-novice players on my team (we were playing 4x4 against 4 vets!) and it was upsetting for there were so many things these 1/2 noobie we'rent aware of - re. Teamplay tactics, positionning, passes, etc.
May everyone evolve to become vets and to play a real team game! :P
TG did a 'thank you thread' not so long ago. I thought of doing the same. I'm sure many of you thought about it too.
This is the best $20 ever! I bet I'm under less than a penny a game... ;)
THANK YOUZ!

@Hugo: Let's see. So, $20.00/2,000 games = $0.01/game.
Time: 2000 games x 0.25 hr/game = 500 hours, or almost 21 days straight! That comes to $20.00/500 hrs = $0.04/hour.
Adjustment: [$20 (for game) + $3,000 (new computer) + $80 (2 new keyboards)]/2000 games = $1.55/game, or $6.20/hour.
So I think this proves that if you play long enough you can essentially earn the equivalent of minimum wage! XD

With no disrespect to a lot of y'all --
I most enjoy playing with Stinkfingers, Capt Crunch and Blind Cide (especially in the mornings).
I feel cold and unloved... Oh well! I really don't obsess about scrum, I consider myself a decent scrum player, definitely nowhere near the best, but ok, so as not to be arrogant. Due to my mainly BMing TT life, I will probably only list BMers. First off, my favorite BMer to play against is probably someone from Metal Slicerz, they seem to be the only challenge out there... Anyway, on my long list which I will not complete today, I will say them in the next post.
The reason I double-post is because my internet browser doesnt allow long posts fer some reason, it doesnt load, but anyhoo... Ben, Hoosane, AIM HERE (Personal Friend), taffy, Tank0r, Illusion, willow, get some (dorko), DEFINITELY Air Force, and me of course. On the entire list, my favorites are Air Force and AIM{+} HERE (KA7). I am not saying some of you deliberately, because I can't post very long. You probably know who you are though, so pat yourself on the back.
ME!!! Jus kiddin. Well it does seem that more people speak to me than ever before... I dunno about my favorite players to play wit... But my 2 favorite players to engage in idle chatter with during a scrum game are "Fo Fizzle" (44) and the Gerbil... Oh yea, but I cant forget Slugga, Siz, Memph, Azazel... The list goes on... Oh and DA CLEANER, jus cuz he seems to enjoy the game so much
I can't pick just one. There are so many good folks in TT. I wish I could stay up late as there seem to be games full of quality players and chat. I enjoy some very good games early in the morning with 44, Larth, Sin Limites, Takenoprisoners, Bolo, and others.
Racer
Cadc
Lauryn
Lc50
-z-
Killer77
Ice Punk
MOE
OM
Lancer
Cat
44
Serial Killa
Stinkfingers
Ol' pappy taters
Moe, but I cant name them all right n- wait a sec
56k
Bolo
Sizicus
Hoosane
AHH SO MANY I GOTTA STOP There are MANY more
I guess winning all the time makes you unpopular.
My vote is anonymous.
He gives me the best challenge and crys like a baby everytime I slaughter his culo.
Plus he loves to impersonate me...anyone who impersonates me as much as him deserves my vote. ;)

Smug = unpopular
@ all
I dont want to get into trouble by listing people whom I like or dont like....i just said that overall I would pick -z- due to his generous contributions to the community, great sportsmanship, and good skill.
@ hanky
You are right....winning all the time doesnt win you friends....i love good competition so hanky is one of my favorite players....
B
I agree with some of the others above, the whole assembly is what makes the game. Sometimes the ever changing player list makes it truly interesting. As a regular skilled, regular player I look forward to playing againt the inspired players like: Tank Girl in all of her incarnations, Bolo, Reagent X, -Z-, James Bomb, Slugthog, Weentank, Hankster Tankster, 56 K, and particularily MAX-CR who's barrel I always seem to get in the way of. There are many more that are worthy of the Cheers salute "NORM" and I hope to see them all in a good game of Team Scrum.
From a sometimes awed player/fan

There has been plenty of negative threads recently on here, so I think it's time to start a positive thread.
I'd like to see whom everyone thinks is the most popular (most liked) player in TT? They don't even have to be one of the best players out there, just the most fun to play with or against. Which player seems to get the warmest and the biggest welcome whenever they appear in a game? Which player seems to attract the most players just because they see their name on the list of players in the game?
Here are my picks:
TankGirl!
No, it's not just because she's a woman (though that is a big factor), but it's obvious how much everyone likes her and enjoys playing with her (as teammate or opponent). She brings the best out of us all and makes us laugh and think (on TT and PTT). The (TG) or (K8) is like honey and all of us men are the bees. We come running whenever we see her playing. She adds much needed estrogen to our overly hormonal laden world! She's a lady and she's tough as nails when she has to be with those rude boys out there.
JamesBomb
Even though he hasn't been around much lately or even that long in general, he seems to be very well liked by everyone. He always elicits a giant welcome from everyone and also brings out the best in all of us. He's also a very good sport and always positive.
