So, this is a question for all you scrummers out there. What are you better at? Stealing or Running?

Well, personally im great at both. (im not tryin to brag or anything but its the truth). But I think im a bit better at stealing. Im great at backwards steals and all that jazz. Lol

So guys, share your thoughts.

I think im better at running because I just think so.

When life gives you lemons find a kid with a paper cut.
Ed appears: He combo attacks with paper cut you suffer 5 HP with added attack lemons on wound you suffer 50 HP you die......

^ very insightful.

I'd have to say stealing, because I really couldn't be much worse at running.

Now I'd have to say my true skill lies in the area of getting shot to pieces and running into rocks or over cliffs. It all in the way you do it. You have to make it look easy, you know...almost like an accident. Very difficult.

Well, given my performance in PSL last night - stealing from my own teammates. :'(

Friday, February 03, 2006 at 4:08:05 AM

It happens^
Id have to say both im better at getting it and running to the goal and doging a camper or some1 who spawned there.

Perseus I'm usually with you on this onev . The tree hang up is my specialty. How high can you climb?

Today however I was on a hot streak and was good at everything. Gotta love days like today. Even held my own against delta in roo's (something I've never done). Does this mean I've evolved to the next playing level?? I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow at lunch.

And no claiming I was camping today lost 'cause ya know it ain't true.

>>> After playing today I guess the star were aligned right yesterday. Sigh

I agree with Perseus on this one.

Hmm, well, I'm pretty awful at stealing (most of you scrummers should know that), so I'd have to say running.
My advantage is that they don't know where I'm going, so I wait for them to commit to one side and then I go the other. Simple trick, but it almost always works.

Pretty even on both. ;)

Hmm well it all depends on how far you have to run, and on which map. So id have to say stealing

I'm real good at running all the way to the goal and then dieing/passing/scoring.

Pray to GOD for him to reveal himself to you.

I can go pretty far on one tank, as I have shown in outstanding preformances in Splam's Keep Away Server (Only lost once). But I can also steal pretty well.

Lost, you are another useless lardball IceDawg. Im even starting to think YOU are HIM

Im good at tank hitting Tactics.
Everybody is the same in Running. Its just luck on how well the opponent can shoot.

Running is definitely more than luck. You have to know the terrain features well enough to put them to your advantage, and also be willing to risk some use of turns and brakes. A great runner can be really frustrating to take down.

I think I do pretty well at running, but stealing has been improving lately.

Why limit the list to running or stealing? What about shooting or blocking or passing or using launch pads?
Some also excel at the fine art of chatting WHILE playing... And even scoring! Tally Ho is famous for having long in-depth debates while flying thru the air into the goal and scoring. Bolo has done similar thing as he gives his teammates detailed instructions for the next goal WHILE he is in the air and on his way to a score.

@ Soap(LUT/ATF?)
Of course it is.
Lost is Ice dawg. He's fooling no one.

And seeing I'm speaking to you. I'm giving you your last warning. I'm not liking the way your treating PTT members. The ACA has already decided to bann you again. You lucky your not alreay silenced here. Please take this notice seriously. One more incident and I will have to silence you.

I don't care if it was in an outside email or not. The disrespect and rudeness penetrates right back to these forums.

Ohhh cruuud... Well, the upside to this is that Scythe doesn't have to keep quiet anymore, and neither do I. So much for the pact with SA... Down the toilet, all thanks to Soap.

I agree. I use boostpads a ton, for example (living up to my name by accident), so I'd say I'm better at running.

Using the terrain is almost like an art form. Using pads, rocks trees for everythign form cover when running to aids in getting into the goal.

Some of the all time finest, Max CR© Memphis, Pai, Tally Ho and Bolo.

I can't even guiess how many tines I have said "Oh my" or "Holy crap, that was nice."

I'm better at running backwards.

Friday, February 03, 2006 at 8:45:46 PM

I can run backwards if I try. I can also rub my stomach and pat my head once. XD XD XD

Friday, February 03, 2006 at 8:55:55 PM

I'm definitely a shooter. I played bm for nearly two years before finding the joy of scrum. XD
now im playing scrum everyday. I can not help myself. %)

Stealing

Sunday, February 05, 2006 at 5:49:46 PM

@Nappy
wow, thanks for mentioning me with those other players that I respect a great deal! You've painted a few masterpieces as well on the battleground! To be honest, Napalm is one of the best there is when it comes to driving in severe heavy traffic around the goal. While most of us panick and backout or give up an easy goal he somehow finds his way in like a threading a needle. The only thing that can stop him is a careless or greedy teammate...lol.

Bolo taught me the fine art of bouncing off rocks and trees into the goal.
