What is the cause of this malaise?
Might it be the feeling of rehashed arguments?
The fetid odor of ignorance so blatantly displayed?
How so many threads are a waste of time and space but entertian a few?
But what keeps you reading?
Could it be the occasional jewel, where for a short time before it is degraded into pettiness or stupidity, true deep thought occurs?
The occasional joke that makes you laugh?
Or maybe the addiction of the game has virulently spread into the logic sectors of you brain and warped you into compulsively reading?
Whatever,
Read or Read not
I don't care ;)
Believe it or not, I'm starting to feel that way myself. The same things come up again and again, and just barely enough of it is interesting enough to get me to return.
Lately it seems that there is less and less of value. I'm concerned with how many threads are getting a bit over the PG rating we have maintained for so long. One gets locked, and another takes its place. Then someone gets all whiny about the people who want to keep it somewhat clean. (Some of whom are offended for good reason.)
I'm tiring of reading about who did what to who and so much rehashed hash. (The kind without THC)
Those of you who don't think this is important may want to look around. How many players with between six months and a year on PTT are still around? There are vets who are here, and newer folks, but the number of upcoming vets may be diminishing.
Is the conversation here keeping young people away? Is it keeping people who have played a while from staying as long as I have? What's going on? The amount of posting seems way down. The content isn't what it was. Maybe its just me, but I believe I'm not alone, and I believe many are nearly ready to go away. If things don't change, if respect becomes just lip service, if the content becomes so much oatmeal, we're seeing the end of a good thing.
I've never been good at leaving before the party was over, and maybe it is here, too. I hope not...
Heh maybe it's Art Crazy and me always posting advertisemnets to other games that keeps those players away from TT! :P
But anyway, I feel the same way as LGM does. In my honest opinion, this sign of "same threads" and excercising of complaints is a sign for TT2 to come out soon or havoc would come.

Mularkey.
There are the same if not more people playing TT than ever before. Posts are down simply because moderators have eliminated those using multiple accounts and posting over and over.
When I first started playing this game you might find five people online at a time. It was usually people like me, tally ho, lc50, foulplay, ben and a few others. It peaked and has remained at about 40-50 people max online at a time.
LGM, far worse things have been posted in political threads than 44's thread. You're simply being selective. Tell me I'm wrong.
I used to peg my pants when I was a kid, six months to a year later I didn't. The fad went away.
This fascination of wanting to get so much out of a gaming thread is hilarious.
It's a friggin cartoon tank game where it just so happens most of us like each other. Leave it at that and zip it folks.
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.
Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.
@Triv
Yes, the overall quality of posts on TT has gone steadily down the drain ever since you know who did their crying game routine. We used to have long in-depth conversations on thought-provoking topics, which still happens on here every once in a long while.
The way I see it is that we have three choices to make:
1. Stop coming here which doesn't help PTT at all unless you are one of those trolls who spam or flame
2. Contibute more useless and mean-spirited bile
3. Try your best to contribute something of value or entertaining (Rogue's hilarious thread about the town upset over a thread is a good example).
Personally, I strive for number three. I liked my thread on the future of the game because it provided valuable information and could actually bring about change in the game. Even if it doesn't, it was a fun conversation to have with you guys and gals.

I know the feeling. I used to come here daily. Now I come every 3 to 4 weeks and don't miss anything. Seems like the same threads are still on the first page. Lets see how many threads and how many times can you post to describe the person above you, below you , above and below you , how about to the side of you.
Then you try to post something new and someone deletes it. Go figure.
That was funny, specially the bolded part. :)
Btw, was just reading another post by you where you said that they thought you to be a girl(okay, I admit, I have always had a feeling you being feminine), but you never confirmed. That poped my mind the thread where you posted "your" picture, thought, later on I saw that same picture elsewhere. So, I think it wasn't you after all?
I have no problem bumping this thread for few weeks to get a reply. ;)

You got that right. You're not alone.

I found several of your this month tt related threads interesting to look. Thanks for that.
You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
Why would this get deleted? Because it's different? I hope not. I'm not going ot delete it.
BTW, what the heck are you doing?
Good chance that KBC or Pai have the old photos.
^^ I don't think that dress fits right, makes you look a little, well... Square. And is that cat supposed to be a tail? Did it consent to you surgically grafting it onto the back of your dress?

@Cat
Great tube dress you got there, really shows your curves.
Aah... Let me think how I saw it...
I got a link to someones user gallery in http://irc-galleria.net/ (don't try the link there are some real wackos;)) I think, I clicked to see more users of a particular community that user was part... Clicked on some random name... Viewed another picture of this random user... Dadaa the same picture of Cat that I had seen (~few weeks) before in ptt.
Mmm... It was the picture where you were wearing jeans, black shoes and shirt, and showed a peace sign... If I remember correct.

rising to the bait...
@ Cat - Ya know, if you want the guys to respect you as a person and not a sex object (and speaking inappropriately in the servers) , then you might want to rethink that photo. I'm not offended by it, but its rather suggestive to me. Just wondering if that's the way you really want to go.

Sometimes I wonder why I come here(ptt) as I rarely find anything which interest me... Thought the good thing with that it takes only approximately five minutes to see everything new when you check what's happening daily(if I won't write replies which I mainly don't.) Could be good idea to remove the favourite link to here... This is something I have to think.
I arrive to the forums page by favourite link and go to show all new posts. By just reading the title I jump over 2/3 of the threads.
Check the rest... Jump over 1/2 posts, because the general feeling of stupidity gives me bad vibes. 1/2 posts I skip don't really annoy me. I just don't feel reading them.
