Page : <1> :

Hey all,

We are considering commisioning an artist to make a nice thinktanks t-shirt design and hope to have it out before christmas (earlier if possible). As this is not going to generate a lot of money for us (but potentially cost us money) we want to get an idea of how many people would be interested in such a thing. We are thinking of doing a first run of 100.. But we don't want to get stuck paying for and holding onto all of them, nor do we want to sell out first day (it will be cheaper for us per shirt to do a larger run)

So, if you are interested.. Let us know by posting a response here.

I would definetly be interested in T-shirts!

Can you give a basic idea of what they're going to look like?

I cant say I would wear a gaming shirt out in public.

See if hankstatanksta will do the art work. Www.hankstagraphix.com

Heh, yeah I'd be interested. Bolo, you don't necessarily have to wear it out in public if it bothers you. I myself wouldn't mind. It might generate a new player or two if people ask what it is.

As for artist, Hanksta would be a good choice. Also, LilAlienD seems to be quite an artist himself. I'd ask him too. That is, if you were thinking of asking any of the players.

Holy Cheesecakes! I'd want one more than anything else! (Except MAYBE unreal tournament)

I've been thinking about a design for months now, its a t-shirt with your call-sign in the front and on the back would be a light tank (or your preference) and the tt logo, also in the lower back with your game prefernce (scrummer) in bold letters, and the ptt web site on one sleeve. I think personal t-shrit would be a sure sell with almost no residual. It may cost more but for my own I'll pay around 20-25.

Also I would buy any t-shirt you guys come up with.

How much does it cost cuz I want to pay

Pray to GOD for him to reveal himself to you.

Instead of having to make them youself, you can set up a shop at Cafe Press .
You would probably consider paying a small amout to open a premium shop, it has no limits, no ads, and is completely customizable.

Sure... But why stop there? Why not sell official ThinkThanks tents and other camping gear to all of you camping suckers out there?!
You know who you are! For you pseudo-campers who know just how far away to go before it becomes obvious that you're camping, you can get an official TT compass and GPS.

;)

We have a t-shirt on cafepress.. Sales have been un-inspiring to say the least. We get like $0 for a TT shirt on cafepress.

As for the artist, I know two professional illustrators that I am talking to about this who have extensive professional experience doing this. No idea on what the design is going to be yet.. Only to say it will be much cooler than the one presently on Cafe-Press. Plan is for a multi-color design.. On a color shirt. Price will probably be in the $17 range.

LOL, paisano. I believe Laggy and Paco have already put the tents into back order. And, if I'm not mistaken, Tally and Prey have already filled their pre-orders for the GPS sytems. Personally, I'm more inclined to an Air jangles shoe more than anything else. But, I'd still buy the T-shirt.

I might even buy two. :)

Just a thought!!!!

Instead of being stuck with a number of T-Shirts, maybe you should consider taking deposits prior to production of T-Shirts to separate time wasters from people who are actually buying the T-Shirts.

SK

PS:- Depending on design I might actually order one.

If you get Hanksta to do the art, I'd want his signiture on it. Then next time I'm in Portland, I'd swing by BT to have you guys sign it as well.

Sunday, August 15, 2004 at 2:51:37 PM

Stuffed scrums. That would be a collectors item. :)

If you want, I could weld you some true size, true material ones. :P

ThinkTank XL please... Woot!

Monday, August 16, 2004 at 4:08:37 AM

I can think of a couple of young tanksters who would love a T-shirt, and at least one elder tankster:)

To be specific :
1 medium adult
1 large adult
1 XL adult

I would like one depending on the design. 4 color sounds like a great idea.

It might be a good idea to let the locals here run their own little T-shirt design contest (just like with the skins) to see what the community likes then let the BT hired artist expand on the winner (with the winner getting a free T). I'm sure you'd get a lot of inspiration from the community and a T-shirt with wide appeal.

I'd buy one strictly out of support.

N are ya SURE you want to use the artists?? I would love to work on something like that. I am a professional graphic designer, and have done loads of T-Shirts before. I did this logo for out Psycho Team, [url=http://homepage.mac.com/lilaliend/.Pictures/cerbroslocos.gif]Cerebros Locos[/I]. It was done very quickly for fun though, no costum text or anything.

I would do it for dirt cheap too ;)

N thanks for the consideration OM ;)
