Its awful. 1 of my windows is cracked after a large branch hit it. Few trees down in my yard. My car got hit by a 120 pound branch! Right now its real windy also. Getting worried. The winds right now are around 40 mph and they are suppose to get up to 50 to 60... I hope RX, tally, baba dont have trees down.

I just found out that because of our valleys terrain design, and the direction of the wind, my neighborhood is one big shoot were huge gusts of wind bblast through one end, and come out the other. The average wind speed is 55-60 MPH, with gust that reach 70 +! :S My whole house is shaking! And because of how damp it is, the trees are heavy and the soil is eroding. I'm surprised our electricity isn't out yet! These trees are huge! I'd say around 8 stories high! And along with that my mom's brand new car is now 3/4s a car, because about 20 minutes ago, a 2 1/2 story tree fell and whiper out the front of her car! I was in a much better mood this morning. Now I'm just freaked out! :S
Good luck to those other storm prone Californians!
Soooo stormy today too......gosh dont ya love livin in cali.....cpet when the whole bay area floods.....a tree hit us when we were driving back from church.....thank god the car didnt get damaged since it just came back from the shop....my dads been out workin since yesterday....had to miss new years.......and my power was out till like 1:30....it sucked
That sounds familiar... My dad worked for the telephone company until about 20 years ago. He missed a couple of Christmases, and lots of other days when the weather was bad.
Hang in there, I remember some nasty floods in the Sacto and Bay areas. Beware the Russian River, too...
The wind is just now whipping up here on the Canadian border.. Gusting to 40-50 mph now... And I just finished taking the Xmas lights off the house. Phew.
Batten down the hatches!
We live on a creek here in Sacramento. I wish I had some pictures to post.....it was amazing! Our little 3 foot wide creek rose 7 feet and stretched to about 65 feet wide! It has temporarily stopped raining so it is back inside of its banks, but not for long I fear...
Don't know how cali is, but jimmy and I live in central PA. Doesn't sound interestin enough for yas? Come live here for a week. Three days ago it was almost sixty degrees, and now (at my house) it is almost 8 degrees... And people say they can predict the weather here... HA!
@ all californiaonion ppl- good luck. We hod weather like that last year, cept it was almost two inches of ice :S know how yas feel. Try and cut down ANY loose branches afterward... Found out the hard way that they can fall down later in the year.
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

Well, I know that Cloud lives about 20 miles or so away from me. Right now my neighborhood full of trees is looking like a swamp with huge logs floating around! The storms have been rages tremendously in the Bay Area of Nor Cal! Tell us about your storm stuff Cloud!
First, here I go:
- My neighbors skylight flew off in the middle of the night (You wouldn't believe all the leaves and water in there! :S )
- My deck chairs ended up 2 houses down.
- My yard is now 1 inch of muddy water
& Our trees are in our driveway
It's still raging! See, in The bay Area, around San Francisco, we don't get snow, we get tons of rain, wind and power outages! :'( :S %)
