Anyone happen to know how I can set an object as a replacement of the light tank? I got a cool fighter plane I want in a mod but tt closes whenever it loads. I tried replacing it with a rock to see if it was even possible to use anything but tanks as a shape...failed.... So does anyone know if it's possible to make an object be in place of the lighttank??? Or better yet does anyone even know how to make tanks (real tanks like the ones 187 made)

I have been pondering this. I think you would need to do a whole animation in order for it to work...

Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

All you need I think is the correct nodes for the brainjar, the muzzle, eye etc...
Currently I have no idea how to do this in blender but I can help in milkshape.
I dont know how exactly, but 187 did... Maybe 187 needs to show up :P

Warfare can you explain this a bit further? By that I mean the nodes.

In a player object you have a few Three Dimensional points stated somewhere in the object file. These points are refered to as nodes.
Sometimes these nodes are joints for a player skeleton, to make it easier to model running, falling, etc.
One node is used for the camera's position in first person, it is called "eye" TT tanks I think do not have one. Having the camera elsewhere in 3rd person is controlled via script in the game. The good thing about 1st person and the node "eye" is that wherever this "eye" is in first person, you will always see the gun or crossbow whatever below and facing forwards, no matter what the actual 3d object looks like. You will also not see yourself (or the inside of yourself or other objects, known as a clipping error).
Then there are nodes like mount points, like picking up a flag and carrying it on your back, where the gun goes, in this case, where the projectiles come out of and where the brain goes.
All of these things are needed for a player in torque.
Nodes help with animation as well.

Regular objects dont have the correct/any nodes in them, which is why I think that TT shuts down if you use an unusable player object.

An example with a 3D strongbad I made:

LOL nodes and words were done in paint.
I dont have photoshop or anything so... Enjoy :P

Here's what I want as the lighttank:

I'll add more planes for heavy and med

I can give you instructions on how to create nodes in milkshape but I have no idea what nodes need to be in a TT tank object so my help would be useless.
