Brilliant.

'shut all the windows' lol

Lol

5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was more
> reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would
> run on only five percent of the roads.

...and would cost 3 times more....and have no available parts at any auto store...and only come in 2 colors....and have NO options....just big, medium, and small.....

The other 95% of the roads you CAN travel on but only on newer models and have a max speed of 10 MPH

Lol chew on that

Like a BMW?

Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 4:47:39 PM

If your "mac GT" loses a tire, you cant replace it by taking 1 hour to go to a mechanic. Instead, you do it the easy and convenient way by buying a whole new "mac GT"

Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 5:00:24 PM

BMW's can break 10 on any road....

I think this needs a bump, to funny to let it fade. :)

Now that is funny!

In response...

Windoze comes in 2 colors, beige and blue. Look at the iMac - blue, green, grey, white, black, red, polka-dotted, striped etc.

Windoze also comes in big or bigger. Mac now has a very small feature (miniMac).

Windoze costs 3 times less because it has 3 times less power and features than a Mac.

Mac has no available parts at any auto store because the clerks and manager are idiots.

Chew on that!

That's because they come with the very best hardware included. Not like the Widoze world where absolutly everything needs to be upgraded.
Oh yea don't forget you'll have to renew your windows drivers license every year, and if youdrive in any other state, (exchange server, sql) you'll have to again buy more windows licenses. Hang on a minute........

That's better. Sorry I had to take Bill Gates hand out of my pocket, he was squeezing my balls a little too tight.

What about when you build your own? 3 times less, with 3 times the power. :)

And you can still upgrade via the parts store.

@Bolo, ah ah ah! Aren't you forgetting the MacMini? It has tons more power and features than any PC you'd find for five hundred bucks. I have personally only seen one pc desktop that doesn't have a tower. And besides, just LOOK at the G5 tower! It's beautiful! Unlike those ugly, plastic and artificial-looking PCs!

Maybe for the older models. Who owns 'older' models? My folks bought this Sony Vaio in 2000. Upgrades? Nothing, not a god damn thing. Meaning, anything I can do now, I could do when our car salesman smoked my dads last cigarette.

Although, my PC just recieved a fashion ticket. OHHH NOOOOO! : (

I'd rather push a windows, then drive a mac.

@Michael

That one comes with a CD burner, but normally, you would have to "upgrade" to one for extra money, whereas Macs come with CD/DVD burners for free, no extra cost.

That works with a lot of parts on Macs...1 gig of RAM? Comes with it. 64 meg video card? Comes with it. 150 gig hard drive? Comes with it! PC comes with 256 megs of RAM, a built-in video card, and a 50 gigabyte hard drive.

How much would those things cost if you bought them for a PC?

RAM - $94.20 for 256 megs times 2 = $188.40
Video card - $204.84 for a new 64 megabyte Nvidia card
Hard drive - $91.07 for 160 gigabytes
CD/DVD burner - $338.95 for the DVD burner, $134.99 for the CD burner

Adds up, doesn't it?

Own3d.

My studio would have these two friends. The two best designed Desktop Computers with the best hardware technologies.
Each for different kinds of work. One for graphics and the other for 3D.

Thats why you build your own! %)

CD/DVD burner - $338.95 for the DVD burner, $134.99 for the CD burner

WTF? I got a cd/dvd burner in this pc for $30. Who needs a usb/firewire burner if they have one INSIDE of their pc?

RAM - $94.20 for 256 megs times 2 = $188.40

I have a gig in this one for $188, once again, WTF? EDIT: It is Kingmax pc 3200 BTW, not cheap stuff.

Video card - $204.84 for a new 64 megabyte Nvidia card

6600GT 128mb in this computer, $220, again, WTF?

Hard drive - $91.07 for 160 gigabytes

That is about the only legit thing in your post, I have a 160 gig SATA HDD in this, it ran me $120, and was worth every cent.

So Own3d? Not quite my friend.

EDIT2 : @Max - I like alienwares, but I think you pay more for the money that the actual computer in some case. ;)
