Yeah..it seems I can't play TT for a while. Some virus or something had altered my windows registration key, so I had to re-activate or something. Now this resulted in my TT program closing everytime I tried to enter any server... :[. So I re-installed TT and it has asked me for my registration key, which I havent used in several years..lol and also I've had several pc problems resulting in deleting of everything + emails, so I will not be around for a while lol. :'(..although it never asked for the registration key even after I reinstalled everything after 'the blue screen of death'...wierd :S

Except for the little bug with 10.4.7, but I guess you Mac users don't like to talk about that ;)

@ Rik: What exactly is your problem? Do you just need a license key for TT?

Monday, August 14, 2006 at 8:35:31 AM

@player: yeah I suppose I only need a license key. :S

I'm with Player36. Besides, if you know more about computers whether it is Macs or Windows, you can fix a virus and spyware by computer KNOWLEDGE . Not going for help saying, "Oh look! My computer has a problem!". However, experts at computers that KNOW the virus name and some how know WHERE it came from, that is being a computer user that knows what he is doing. So, when you come jumping down here and calling for help, give us the name and some memory on where it came from!

And hey! Have you ever heard of HijackThis! ?

HijackThis! Is a good tool for searching problems on your computers and showing it to experts which know what you should do to get rid of the virus. http://www.merijn.org/downloads.html

By exerts I mean this site: http://www.geekstogo.com

These people try their ardest to help a computer problem. I'm not a computer pro, but hey, I try to at least to do the things above to fix the problem before going to get a new operating system.

Now, have I made my point clear?

^ Yeah, HijackThis is really useful. Also, a basic antivirus program and/or some common sense should keep you virus-free.

@ ALL: I would email my license key to Rik, but is this ok? I think it would be ok since he did buy the game, any objections?

^ Perfectly acceptable IMO, he payed for it, so ensuring that he still gets to play is fair and just.

If I stil knew where my reg key was, id give it to him.......

....yeh right :P lol

@player: perfectly acceptable...i think %) lol

@b2O: wow calm down..i never said I was going to get a new operating system :S. Oh and after I posted my first post I located the problem anyway..stupid wipeclean..lol

I HIGHLY suggest getting Norton Antivirus 2006... If you don't already have it. That sucker has so much protection, yet it doesn't tie you down and block everything like Windows firewall or ZoneAlarm. Not only that but it's real-time protection detects just about every suspicious activity on your computer, even the little ones. Example? Some web pages try to change your home-page without your consent. NAV nips that one in the bud! Also, I like how it asks you before changing or blocking anything. Very convenient! Sure keeps my ass covered. You just about can't live in this internet world of today without SOME kind of defence. Sad really :S. Also, this adware and spyware crap is outta control. I tell anyone who has a big problem... Get Ad-Aware ! Free (for personal use), fast, and amazingly professional! Auto-Updates are a breeze with both programs! Trust me, I've been burned by one-to-many times by those SOB computer-destroying attacks. Keep safe, brudda! It ain't worth a dead friend (AKA: computers XD )!
