Ok, which teams have no-shows so far? Lets see where we stand shall we..

Ice Punk and dash, Team 7v8

Oddball hasn't been able to get hold of AIM(+)HERE - but our match isn't until Thursday.

I have emailed Oddball about that, and his team will likely be getting Leech as a replacement.

As for Dash and Ice Punk, has anyone seen them online at all? At the moment it seems that 3 out of the 8 teams have a no show. Thats almost 50% and not very promising for a 'smooth running' tournament. :(

I am open to suggestions here about what to do btw.

It is automatic that those people who fail to show up are excluded from any future tournament.

We could have an invite only tournament - those of us that play know who shows up and who doesn't.

I have seen Dash - have actually played against him several times since the tournament began. He acted fine but there again there could be more than one.

As far as three teams having no shows, it's not really as discouraging as it looks. Only 3 out of 24 (12.5%) people have no showed - which ain't really all that bad considering that we're dealing with people of all ages spread around the globe.

For the moment - the only thing fair is to do what you are doing...I am under the impression that what happened with Lonewolf's and Bolo's teams was last minute - i.e. Both teams thought that their third members were going to show (I am surprised as well they didn't).

As far as future tournaments - I agree with (UF) Silbarcalis - we all know who does and doesn't show up - between us we can vet those we don't have confidence in.

Before I go - a big thank you for all you do and have done to make this happen!

I talked to dash in a battlemode he said that he thought the game was May 10 not May 3rd..

He said we can count on him for the next rounds

We are tentatively booked for tonight at 10:30 pm EST with OM's team. Just waiting for confirmation from Rorshoq and OM.

Take note -z- will be awake at 3:30 am for the match. Now that is dedication.

@T Raider.. I am willing to assume that it was a misunderstanding of the date. At least you now have contact with him and can schedule a new match.

Dash is in the BM league and has a good track record. I am sure he missed the game by accident. I bet he will show up for future games.

Frankly I dont think a rematch is required. Both teams played with who showed up and followed the rules. If this was a scrum league there would be no question about who won the match. However since this is the first league of its kind, I am willing to rematch IF -z- requires it.

It would seem to me that the no-shows just caused confusion with whether the games were stll on or not. The games however were played and Bolo's team won. However, if Lonewolf's team find this outrageously unfair, then the onus os on them to reshedule a match at a reasonable time/date. If Bolo's team fails to accept all of the proposed rematch times (so long as they are reasonable), then that takes away their advantage.

I know you, and everyone else has been following the mess that is MATCH 1. As you understood and stated, my team showed up ready to play at our scheduled time, so we have the advantage of moving ahead by default. Honestly, a rematch game cannot be scheduled this weekend. Mine is pretty packed w/ birthdays and mothers day (Plans I had made on the basis that our game will be played). Lauryn lives on the complete other side of the world so she can't just up and play (she showed up at the pre-scheduled game though). -v-....... Well....... Yeah!

We've established a time for our WEEK 2 match w/ Moe, but Kimmy's team is still insistant on a rematch. Considering we've established a time of Thur. @ 9:30, I would offer Cat time till then to play our rematch. However, that goes against your original rules of Week 1 matches being played between May 2nd and May 8th. To me, this is pretty obvious. I'm a very fair person though, so I'm asking for YOUR official answer... Can we offer Kimmy/Cat an extended time to play before Thur. And have the winner move ahead against team CRUSH?

We also need a reserve :)

There are proviso's here.

If you have scheduled a match to play Moe on Thurs @ 9:30 then both teams (yours and kimmy's) need to be able to make that match whatever your outcome before then. If kimmy's team cannot make 9:30 Thurs to play Moe if her team wins, then you lot need to have played your match before then in order to give Moe/kimmy adequate time to reschedule should kimmy's team be the victor.

I dont mind if it overruns week 1 but I cant have it interfering with round two schedules. If 9:30 against Moe is fine for both teams, and will be stuck to then fine. Otherwise I will give Moe's team the win regardless of whether either team shows up.

Thats the state of play.. Sort it out amongst yourselves. You have until next thursday to put forward one of the teams to play Moe, and not a combination of both either.
